Look: Straw-yellow in color; cloudy and opaque. Pours with a very small white head the dies down without a trace. Some medium-sized bubbles present, however looks kind of flat.

Smell: Malt, grass and mild hops. Slight sour aroma. Nice.

Taste: Malt to start, acidic/sour middle, grassy and mildly hoppy finish. Interesting and refreshing.

Feel: Lighter-side of medium body. Slight fizzy sensation towards the end from the carbonation with a mildly dry finish. Slightly better than a good quality commercial beer.

Overall: A different take on a Pilsner with the hops. Very cool. I really liked it. Nice on a hot day.

Golden, hazy color to this one. Bavarian hop aroma shines through nicely. Taste is light and crisp with a bit of citrus on the aftertaste. Very pleasantly surprised with this one

Drank fresh from draft at Trapp Lodge in Stowe, VT on 7/20/15

UPDATED RATING: drank on 4/19/16 from a can dated 3/21/16; much better than I thought it was the first time I had it on draft at the brewery

Served in a pilsner glass. Pours a translucent straw gold with a loose, 1/8th inch white head. Nose is clean and grassy with an earthy noble hops presence. Taste follows nose; however, there's also a slight medicinal bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is light in body with an even carbonation. The finish is not quite crisp. Overall, a decent Czech Pils but lacking the clean characteristics I've come to associate with the style.

Bottle. Pours like a pils. Clear yellow with a fluffy head. Mild aroma. Pale, malt, soggy bread, lager yeast. Not much hop. Aroma. Flavor is a mixture of sweet and dry malt and lager yeast. While I didn't think the hops were very noticeable in the nose, they play a much bigger part on the tongue. Quite bitter for the style. Still, the flavor comes off more as just plain bitterness than distinct hop taste.light bodied, pilsy. Not as well put together as many I have had recently. Also not big on the fact that they named their brewery after "The Sound Of Music".

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on June 22, 2015. I am not certain if I am reviewing the same beer. My 2015 bottle simply says Pilsner not Bohemian Pilsner.

Cloudy yellow pour with a long lasting white foamy head.

The aroma is toasted malts, German malts, sweetness, and grass. It smells like a traditional Pilsner should.

Medium body.

The taste is immediately toasted and then there is a mild, balanced grassy bitterness to tone down the toasty sweetness. Easy to drink. Really the way I enjoy my Pilsners.

12oz potter poured into a Pilsner glass.

A: Dull straw yellow.mfine bubbles white head retains at a half inch and leaves behind chunky webs of lacing.

S: Sweet bready Pilsner malt, lightly toasted grain, hay. Hops are grassy with a bit of a lemongrass zing. Some match-strike sulfur in the background.

T: Sweet Pilsner malt and lightly toasted grain. Hops come to the forefront with a lot of floral and lemongrass character. Modest bitterness build toward the back as the hops go more herbal. Hay. Some sulfur. Hint of alcohol. Dry. Grainy and herbal finish.

M: Light bodied with a full and round feel. Crisp bite of carbonation.

O: Not bad, but it could stand to be just a bit cleaner. Sulfur gets to be distracting at times.
