Appearance - cloudy straw colored body with white head

Smell - Grain, cracker, bread

Taste - Grain, Cracker, Bread, grass, lemon zest, slight bit of sweetness

Mouthfeel - Medium Bodied, medium carbonation, slight sweetness upfront, hop bite and breadiness on the back end. Crisp and refreshing beer

Overall - pretty good stateside version of a pilsener. Von Trapp has yet to disappoint. Worth a try

Price Point - $1.99/12 oz single

Pours a light straw with a finger of head. The nose has the distinct essence of pilsner malt. This offering is hearty with a solid malt flavor and dry finish.

Not sure if it's true to style, but it's delicious, in a category that's not represented as well as big IPAs and whatnot. It resembles a quintessential "beer," like an Anchor Steam, even though there obviously isn't a singular representative of "beer." I like it better than Hofbräu Original, my traditional pilsner go-to, as well as the category-leading entry from Victory, which seems to try too hard for pilsner. I wish I could get it locally.

Cloudy pale yellow colored beer with a slowly fading head. Taste is lemon zest and spicy hops. A little more hoppy than I would have liked. I would rate this as average.

Pours a light golden yellow with good clarity, not much of a head. Grainy aroma with a hint of hops. Full bodied for a pilsner with a nice hop presence that fades to a crisp finish. Really an enjoyable Pilsner and easy to drink. A nice break from the IPA's that I usually drink.

Righteous. Really basically perfect actually. Translucent pale gold with thick white foam that lingers. Delightful grassy, herbal notes complement the light biscuity malt. Soft, clean, and pure with a dry finish. Abundant but gentle carbonation refreshes the palate with each sip. This is precisely what Pilsner is all about.

Home run straight out of 12oz bottle. This is like dating the girl of your dreams and in a few years into it she gets even hotter. This beer starts great on the nose, good amount of that hay, biscuit you expect of a nice Pilsener but on the taste this really comes alive. It's malty, balanced with just the right amount of Saaz. Top notch beer.

Straw yellow body with nice clarity. One finger white head dissipates to a web-like cap with wet, slippery lacing.
Very clean nose. Grainy and hoppy with floral, dry grass and spicy notes. Hits of yeast and sulfur.
Bready, grainy malt backbone with wonderful floral hops, lemon zest and pepper.
Soft body at first then a dry peppery finish that lingers. Medium body, medium mouth feel, active carbonation.

Had this on 2018-01-06 and on 2018-05-06 in Columbia, PA from a 12oz bottle from the Lager variety pack.

A decent Pilsner. Nice aroma and flavors, which are lightly bready, lightly spicy, lightly bitter. Easy to drink, nice mouthfeel. Would have this again.

Surprisingly tasty, expected less. Easy drinking pilsner with some body and flavor to it.

Cloudiest Pilsner I've ever seen. Typical Malts up front but some citrus on the back end which ruins it for me. Not a fan.

L — Pours a slightly hazed straw body with a solid white three-finger head produced with moderate pour. Great retention and some lacing
S — Bready pilsner malts, wheat, honey, hint of lemon and sulfur. Clean, crisp, and mild
T — Good amount of honey-dough character throughout, tempered by a Saazy hop character and some nice fruity yeast esters. Again, clean, crisp, and mild.
F — Light mouthfeel, medium carb. Super gentle finish that doesn’t feel too watery
O — Tastes like a real European pils. Super refreshing and easy drinking

Pours a clear light golden color with a poorly retained one and a half inch head that left lots of lacing. Smells and tastes of sweet malts, crackers, grass, pepper, floral notes and some grapefruit. Light bodied, well carbonated, clean and crisp. Very well done pilsner.
