Named for the city that created the style, our amber lager is malt forward with a grassy, crackery hop aroma. A classic blend of German malts and hops gives this complex lager notes of biscuit and caramel in its finish.

12 oz can
Glass: 0.4L Mug
Temp at Pour: 54.4 F
Look:
Clear golden-hued copper with a 3-finger off white pillowy head. The head dissipates quickly to a spotty and inconsistent cover.
Smell:
Lightly toasted grains and sweet doughy bread. There is a very light honey note along with a mild citrus and lemony one.
Taste:
Similar to the nose, with an added floral hop bite that while noticeable is not overly strong. The bitterness lingers on into a dry finish, making one want another sip.
Feel:
Crisp and dry. Body is between medium and light.
Overall:
A nice, easy-drinking beer. The bitterness is a tad higher than I am used to in a Vienna Lager, but it isn't too much and it dries things out nicely.

From a can. Pours an orange-gold with a finger of thick white foam that fades to a nice lace on the surface and glass, hazy. The nose is malty and sweet with some grassy and herbal hops. The flavor has the same hops notes only slightly stronger. There is a toasted grain and dried hay flavor as well. Medium bodied with a slight hop bite. Finishes clean and dry. A well made vienna style lager.

This beer pours a slightly hazy, burnt copper color and a moderate white head. The aroma is almost undetectable, which is rather surprising. The taste is sweet and malty with undertones of yeasty bread.

Deep amber with a thick head that turned into a floaty foam after a few minutes. Yeast and a bit of sour on the aroma. Nice mix of flavors, malt with a bit of bitterness and sweetness and maybe a hint of sour. Medium feel, in line with the style. Great drinkability.

2 12oz cans into a tall glass. Best by 2/9/23, so guessing 3 months old.
Looks very nice. Clear reddish amber body with a small white head. This persists throughout leaving pretty good lacing.
Light bready malty aroma.
On tasting, smooth, clean, balanced. Starts a little sweet but the hop note cuts through it.
Mouth a little thinner than I would like, finish a faintly bitter wash.
Overall, like all Von Trapp beers, this is solid, clean, true to the style without being overbearing. I would try anything they put out.

This is a pretty good Vienna-style lager. Decent amount of malt profile, but I was expecting a bit more dark malt character than I got. Definitely has more than their pale lagers, I was just hoping for even more.

Nucleated Pilsner
Look: Poured a slightly hazy gold-copper color, with a silky-fluffy head off-white in color and 1.5 fingers in height. Dissipated into a thin cap
Smell: toasty Malt, hops, some cracker notes, orange zest
Taste: First coming through is the toasted malt and the hops bitterness. Some light hints of flamed orange zest in the background and caramel. Finish is bread notes with salty crackers. Leaves behind a wheat after taste with a astringent burnt coffee note
Feel: Smooth, moderate mouthfeel. Dry finish.
Overall: The more I drink it the more I find more to enjoy. Complex easy drinker without being over bearing.
