Tony's Darts Away does the basics brilliantly... solid selection of rotating beer, great simple food, and modest comfortable atmosphere

Solid craft bar in the shadow of Hollywood. Very relaxed place that s serious with 38 craft taps dedicated to local beer. They do flights which allowed me to sample. Service was great and very informative. Had a salad that was really good for a pub. I will be back.

If you're ever in the area or flying into Bob Hope Airport, this place is worth a visit. Exceptional tap list, great staff, awesome atmosphere. One of my all time favorites. The quintessential beer bar.

I flew back home to Burbank Airport, so it was the perfect excuse to check this place out. It's a fairly small bar tucked in Burbank. It's your traditional neighborhood bar with games, monitors with sports on. It has that grungy vibe (in a good way).
The servers were nice and friendly and even warned me the beer I selected was tart which was totally fine with me. I love sours.
The tap list was mostly local stuff, but a quality list.
I had their brat with the sour. It was solid.

Really cool spot, glad I got to stop by. Had three beers from local breweries, lines were clean and glasses were reasonably filled. The service was only at the bar (weekday lunchtime) but both bartenders were friendly and helpful. And the food was incredible. Had a sausage with fried egg on top and I want more.

Pretty much the place to be in Burbank. Great, friendly staff with the right knowledge of craft beer. Great connections with local brewers and tap take overs. Everything you could want in a local place...and of course theres Pliny...

Pliny the Elder on tap. That will get some people through the door.
But there are so many other good beers to be found here. The selection is restricted to California beer, which I suppose is cool, but the problem with that is that Cali (like my home state of New Mexico) loves their IPAs and that can skew the tap list.
What results is a whole page devoted to IPAs, session IPAs and Double IPAs, and then a second page for the other 100+ plus styles of beer in existence. As someone with major IPA-fatigue, this is a bit of a drag. Tony's redeems itself, however, by having that second page chock-full of gems.
My first visit I got a snifter (such a lovely vessel) of Tart of Darkness from The Bruery. I've been wanting to try the beer forever so I was happy to find it on tap. I followed this by getting a pour of Stone's Sublimely Righteous Black IPA, a beer I've never had before because I can never seem to find fresh bottles in New Mexico (and it's never been on tap anywhere). Two scores for me.
I returned on a Sunday with my cousin as I hipped him to the fact that Tony's has football on and wouldn't be too crowded (a complaint my cousin has with many of his local NOHO/Burbank locales). We got there right at 10 and ordered food and beers. It was on this occasion that Pliny was on tap, so of course I started my day with a DIPA. The combo of some decent (not great) food, football, and superb beer is a splendid combo.
In the end, Tony's should be a must-hit if you're in the area.
