12oz bottle at share, 2016 vintage. Dark brown opaque pour, thin beige head. Hazelnuts hit the nose right from the start, nutty, sweet, chocolate. Taste is sweet and sticky, hazelnuts galore and finally some boozy bourbon notes. Held up in the cellar very well.

This is a banger of a beer...am an absolute banger...
Loaded with hazelnuts and dark roasted malts, this is like drinking a melted Nutella milkshake...with a dose of booze...
Terrific flavors and such a rich creamy palate to the beer... nothing fake or phony here...it feels and tastes authentic from the start...
I don't get any of the 12% here...or at least not much...maybe a mere hint... its smooth and delicious...
New to my area and I'm going to be grabbing more of this for sure...

First pint out of a new keg poured into a snifter.
Look: Near black color with ample mocha foam with excellent retention.
Aroma: Powerful aroma of hazelnut portends good things to come—probably the strongest hazelnut aroma I have encountered in a beer.
Taste: The hazelnut hits the tastebuds up front, and is followed by maple, coffee, a hint of roasted chocolate malt, and a noticeable but somewhat subdued bourbon barrel. Exquisite, long lasting finish combines all the elements together.
Feel: Soft and pillowy, light and creamy mouthfeel for a stout.
Overall: Very well-crafted, as usual, for an Odd Side Ale product. Unlike some of their other offerings that are too cerebral, on this one the elements come together in harmony to create a great tasting beer that is addictive and good for drinking over and over.

Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a quarter inch of densely packed brown on top. Moderate lacing on the glass. The aroma is of hazelnut, coffee, and dark chocolate. I’m tasting hazelnut, coffee, and dark chocolate. The mouth is thick and yet silky smooth.

Sampling a 12 oz can at cellar temp and poured into a snifter.
The beer is part of the swap with @Whyteboar. Thanks!
The beer pours a dark coffee brown color with a creamy tan head of about 1.5 cm. The foam is dense and fades slowly to a clingy edge layer and one large island in the center of my glass. Some scattered lacing shows on the side of the glass after each sip that I take.
The aroma is rich and malty with dark chocolate and hints of coffee, but peanut husk and peanut butter are dominant. Not really hazelnutty, which I perceive to be sweeter than peanuts. I dont get any hop character on the nose and the booze is well hidden as well.
First sip reveals a medium body with fine and gentle carbonation and a very smooth texture, making the beer very easy to drink per the physical traits. Slightly dangerous for a 12% imperial stout
Flavor is what I expect after the nose on this brew. Some sweet caramel and dark chocolate and then some peanut and here I do get the sweeter hazelnut flavor. I enjoy hazelnut in my beer, and am glad it shows here and isnt as peanuty as the nose is.
No hint of hops here and the ABV is again pretty well hidden with only a little warmth on the swallow. The flavors and physical traits make me drink this beer faster than I should and I really enjoy this beer. Im glad to have had a chance to try it and would recommend it to folks that like big malty stouts and any sort of nut adjunct in their beer.
