This Imperial Milk Stout has flavors of roasted malt and cocoa. Drinks incredibly smooth with a lingering sweetness and mild bitterness. This beer was made with 100% Crowtein to help you fight like a crow.

$2.99 bottle. Bottled 1/20, poured 2/14.
Better than I was expecting, just because I've had so many average-ish imperial milk stouts or regular milk stouts with lactose added over the past several months. I'd say Fight stands out a bit. The aroma is reminiscent of black coffee and milk -- the alcohol is basically invisible as far as i can tell. The taste is more roasted malt than coffee, with heavy roasty flavors -- almost char -- from beginning to end. The finish rounds out with a sweetness due to the lactose, which balances the roasty bitterness. Too many milk stouts I've had are already sweet bases made sweeter because of the lactose, and are a little unbalanced -- this is balanced very well. Obviously slightly on the sweet side, but the malts are awesome in this.
The mouthfeel is nearly perfect -- almost feels like it has nitro carbonation, but with the prickly aspects I love about CO2. This has a medium-full body with an excellent, silky smooth feel.
Totally delicious. Reminds me of a more balanced Swirl Stout by Short's, which I just had a week or so ago with a better mouth feel. This isn't my favorite style because milk stouts tend to be a little too sweet for my liking, but this is a great, very well-balanced beer.

Pours black with a dark tan head, there’s some leakage on the extreme edges to mahogany brown. Such a gorgeous beer. The nose is filled with huge cocoa, dark chocolate, and char notes. Wow.
The taste translates directly from the nose, with gargantuan cocoa, dark chocolate, and especially char notes on the taste. Gadzooks, this is impressive. I’m heading back to the beer store where I acquired this and picking up another 6er.

Bottled 1/29/16; drank 4/9/16 @ the Yarchives.
A rough pour yielded a small dark tan head; nice lace.
Cream, mild dirt & faint peppermint notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Cream & mild raspberry flavors up front; dry dirt notes on the finish.
Cloying & dry; drinkable but not enjoyable.

12oz bottle, snifter glass. Dark cola brown body, opaque and nearly black, one finger white head, fair retention, not much lacing. Smell, and really, also the palate, is big lactose, milk chocolate and roast. It's a fairly simplistic milk stout, but certainly what you get on both the nose and the palate is fairly substantial. Maybe a touch of espresso, but mostly it's milk chocolate, plenty of roast and a dab of char, sweet lactose to finish things off. Medium bodied, good carbonation, nice body with what ends up being a mildly roasty char on the finish.

Outstanding beer tried on tap at Odd Side Ales. Great black-looking color with just a little head and some spotty lingering lacing. Smells of dark roast coffee and malt. Tastes of dark roast coffee, milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, cream and malt. Perfectly balanced with good amount of sweetness and just a little bitterness. Smooth creamy mouthfeel with perfect amount of carbonation. Excellent beer, one of the better stouts I’ve had. High ABV is well hidden.

Fantastic milk stout, and probably one of the best I've had. Pours a dark cola color with several fingers of thick mocha head. Nice aromas of toasted malt, cocoa, slight earthy hops, cream.
Flavor is sweet and has a slight dark cocoa/coffee bitterness. Not cloying at all. Big flavors. Most impressive is the creamy feel. Usually I find Odd Side stouts to be on the thin side but this one hits the creamy, fuller feel on the head. Highly recommended.
