12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy light tan head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet lactic fruity chocolate and some roast.

The flavor is sweet tart fruit, lactose and chocolate with a little roast in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, the tart fruit doesn't mix well with the chocolate and roast. Possibly a bad 6 pack?

I love me some odd sides, but something went wrong here. Maybe my bottle or the batch but this had some very unforeseen and unpleasant sour notes. Poured it out. Then poured a nihilist.

I was surprised. I was looking to find the base of hipster, mokka munt, or morning wood.

Pours black with a very minimal tan simmering head.

Aroma is sweet and chocolatey. Almost syrupy. There is more depth to the nose than just this, but I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what it is.

The flavor is not quite what I was expecting. It has a sharp, souring taste mid-way through the sip that is enough to make my eyes squint. I do notice some chocolate in the flavor, some coffee also, and it seems to have somewhat of a smoked flavor. If they could do this without that sour note (I have to believe it was unintentional), this would be much better.
