Appearance: a deep orange with good clarity. Not much in the way of a head when I got it.

Smell: sweet caramel malts and citra hops.

Taste: a blended combination of the sweet malts and the juicier hops. Sweet and on the boarder of too sweet. Needs some bitter to balance

Mouthfeel: nice and drinkable. Needs some bitterness

Overall: a good beer. Not exactly my favorite malt/hop combo but different and different and drinkable beer

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a semi-hazy mahogany color with a sly transparency about it. Ample white foamy head fell off at a decent pace. Slight lace. The aroma had some dried earthy to grassy hops blending with a nice toffee/caramel malt base. Light butterscotch. Touch of leather. Slight bitter piney-ness at the end. The flavor moderately leaned to the malty crisp dried sweet side. Crisp malty aftertaste and finish. The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, I didn’t mind this as an amber ale, did the trick for me.

Appearance: This beer pours a beautiful copper color with a nice white head. The head retention is OK but nothing to right home about.

Smell: A slight caramel aroma with a little pine from the hops from the hops.

Taste: A slight sweet caramel flavor with which the bitterness of the hops balances extremely well.

Mouthfeel: A little on the light side for an amber with a high level of carbonation.

Overall: A good solid beer.

On tap at Odd Side this past weekend. Served in a pint glass.

Pours a clear amber color with a nice off-white head and good lacing. The nose brings forward light caramel and a bit of bread. Nice notes of pine there as well. After the nose, the flavor brings forward a moderate amount of bread and caramel, plus a good bit of piney hops, which are more prevalent in the finish. Some citrus notes as well. Light body and good carbonation. Solid.
