Poured into a Dogfish Spiegelau glass. Huge thanks goes out to mjshearer1 for this surprise.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/2 inch light tan head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of sheer surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves a jagged ring behind.

S- Smells like straight up orange with some light oak in the back. Also notes of tangerine and grapefruit.

T- The hops set in with some heavy citrus flavor and then the bitterness takes hold reacting with the oak in a strange but complementary way. Woody aftertaste. I don't get much bourbon flavor but I wasn't necessarily expecting much. The taste is very vibrant and bright. Ever so slightly astringent.

M- Sharp, tangy and dry. Medium carbonation and a lightish body.

O- Certainly unique and in a good way. I know I like this one, I just don't quite know what to make of it. The flavor profile is assertive, the aroma pleasant and the mouthfeel is prickly. This is the first I've had from these Odd Side guys and, from what I can tell, they're serious about messing around.

Poured from a 120z bottle into a pint glass. Appearance is a murky rust brown color, not all that pleasing to the eyes.

Smells a little funky. Definite citrus, obviously from the citra hops, but the slightest hint of whiskey gives it a funky smell, reminiscent of a Long Island iced tea.

Taste is a bit disappointing, though not horribly disappointing as I'm only slightly a fan of OddSides CPA to begin with. Tastes exactly as it smells, like CPA but with a whiskey mixing with fruit funk.

Mouthfeel is nothing to write home about, heavy, slight whiskey, stale fruit, not too appealing.

Overall I'm just a little let down that their BA-CPA is a total flop.
