Appearance: a medium to deep orange color. fairly clear but just a touch of haze. a finger plus of a foamy white head that leaves a lacing on the sides and a little on the top.

Smell: good bourbony whiff up front. its not super alcoholic but it captures most of the flavor of bourbon. fruity notes try to peak through but are mostly stifled

Taste: opens up with mostly oaky and slightly bourbon flavors. back end is full of very lively and fairly juicy hops. mostly a sweet citrus. the fruit ends up over powering the bourbon quite nicely

Mouthfeel: pretty sticky, and perhaps the most refreshing bourbon barrel beer I have had

Overall: i wasn't so sure at first but i grew to really like this one. very unique take and turns out well. a great change from the onslaught of more and more bourbon in barrel aged beers. Adds to Oddsides barrel program with the most interesting and unique barrel aged beers

Poured from a 120z bottle into a pint glass. Appearance is a murky rust brown color, not all that pleasing to the eyes.

Smells a little funky. Definite citrus, obviously from the citra hops, but the slightest hint of whiskey gives it a funky smell, reminiscent of a Long Island iced tea.

Taste is a bit disappointing, though not horribly disappointing as I'm only slightly a fan of OddSides CPA to begin with. Tastes exactly as it smells, like CPA but with a whiskey mixing with fruit funk.

Mouthfeel is nothing to write home about, heavy, slight whiskey, stale fruit, not too appealing.

Overall I'm just a little let down that their BA-CPA is a total flop.
