Canned 2/11/16; drank 3/13/16 @ the Yarchives.

Poured from the can into a glass.

Semi-opaque yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a huge white head; frothy lace.

Vanilla, candy corn & coffee bean notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Vanilla & banana flavors up front; caramel & coffee bean notes on the finish. Sweet but not cloying; a unique, enjoyable flavor. One's enough per session, but I'd have another...

Bean Flicker pours a golden raisin/ripe banana color with coffee sediments and wheat floating around. The head is monstrous, soapy, and takes several pours over the course of a few minutes to empty the 12 oz can into the 20 oz tulip.

Aromas - Glazed donuts. Vanilla extract. Ground coffee. Some lighter, banana cream pie and vanilla sandwich cookie also surface, with a touch of citronella.

And Bean Flicker does not disappoint. A little heavier on the charred coffee than I would like, but after all, it is a coffee ale. Pale and crystal malts both pop up aggressively, with a faint echo of banana/vanilla behind it all. Coffee grounds curtail the finish, and the palate comes to a close.

Feel is very thin, very watery, with heavy, pepper-like biting carbonation. Fades on pepper.

Overall, Bean Flicker is an outside-the-box beer that's neither good nor bad. I'd encourage you to give it a try, it's pretty decent.

Poured from a 12 oz can. Cloudy golden color with little head. Color reminded me of some honey wheat beers. The light head lead me to assume light carbonation which carried through. A hint of coffee to the nose, but good coffee (not the greasy spoon brown water). Mocha and creamy to the taste with a touch of sweetness. Sweetness is coming through like apricot or peach. Light smoke aftertaste. Surprised by this ale. Wasn't sure what to expect. I'd certainly entertain some additional pints of this ale.

I picked up a bean flicker from the Binnys single shelf. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent has vanilla and coffee. The taste is like a white mocha...quite nice. The Mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's an interesting beer and worth a try.

This reminds me of a little more subdued version of Stone's Mocha IPA. Great coffee flavor with mellow malts and subdued hops. This works surprisingly well. Gonna seek more of this style.
