Ive been working in beautiful San Diego now for almost 18 months. I’ve hit just about every raved about beer/bottle shop and I don’t give away my hot spots when I find one. In this case I just can’t pass up the opportunity to say how great of a beer shop this place is. I have found many beers here I couldn’t find at other stores or they sold out by the time I got to them. Ivan keeps the beers fresh and gets his hands on some killer stuff! Besides its in OB, the best place in Cali. Go to the port and then go here for your take home brews. Cheers Ivan, thanks!

I am rarely in O.B. and would never have really found this place on my own. BUT Ivan (who I believe is the owner?) sent me a Beer mail seeing I had problems with another store while looking for Parabola. He took it upon himself to message me asking if I wanted a couple bottles for $14 each. He not only saved me a few he put them in the back for a few days while I was out of town.

It makes me very glad to be part of this site and know there are cool people out there just trying to do good business and help people out.

I have no clue why this is even listed on the BA site to be honest. Definitely a spot we frequent when down on the cliffs... but in no way is this a beer store/ bottle shop that I would walk into for their selection. Food is good, brews are average and the service of the krew is awesome... all in all a badass spot for anyone within walking distance! but definitely not a spot worthy of being labeled as a bottle shop or even close to Olive Tree for beer. Would definitely stop in for some grub and some beer when out of the water!

::UPDATE::

I have been into the Sea Trader a few times since I posted the above review. The first time... shelf was loaded with the typical local brews and a few seasonals that you'd want to take home. The beer aisle is looking thin....hopefully the next time I go in it looks a bit better. Prices for the most part are awesome. Stop in if you live by the cliffs!
