If you like peanut butter you'll dig this beer I enjoy it much more than its competitors like belching beaver peanut butter stout.

poured from bottle into snifter

A: Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a thick tan head

S: Sweet chocolate and vanilla.

T: Chocolate and malt really coat the taste buds. Vanilla comes through. This is really a sweet drinker with a lot of desert.

M: Lighter for a stout and a very nice creamy mouthfeel.

Overall: This is a great beer if you like a lighter body stout, but with a good creamy mouthfeel. Excellent beer.

Excellent, very well presented stout with a deep, smooth presentation. Tiny, silky smooth head. Very dark and unmistakable as a stout.

Smells of a typical stout, yet has a VERY predominant peanut buttery smell. It's incredibly pleasant at that. This is probably the first beer I've found that has a truly delicious scent. It hits your nose head on and instantly makes you think of anything and everything peanut buttery. Also, slight creamy understones..

It goes down very smooth, full bodied and not rough at all. The alcohol is practically non existent. This is a stout in it's truest form. The peanut butter taste is sweet and strong, albeit not overpowering. I would say it's pretty spot on in terms of flavor. Absolutely delicious!

The aftertaste leaves you with a full mouth of peanut butter, cream and malt. The peanut butter flavor fades briefly, only to come back again.

Overall, I would rate this very highly. If you're fond of peanut butter, this is must try. It's a pleasure to drink and one of the best stouts I have had to date. Granted, I'm huge on peanut butter. Even if you're not very into it, you can still appreciate this as an excellent stout and delicious beer. It's borderline a dessert.
