canned 6/13/18

Clear gold/yellow, thin froth and medium sized white bubbles for a head. Aroma is faint but catching lemongrass, grapefruit, meyer lemon, sweet pine. Taste follows the nose with meyer lemon citrus taking the stage along with a noticeable forest pine oily character. Finishes medium crisp, medium carbonation, and a lingering bitterness with light sweetness.
Similar to fort point’s animal but citrus instead of tropical, also more foresty.

Canned date of 12/19/16

Appearance - Pours clear and golden orange in color with an off-white. finger width head. Fair retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds and a ring around the edge of the glass. Not much for lacing aside from a few random spots.

Smell - Equal balance of hop and malt on the nose, comprising orange, toasted bread, caramel, floral notes, pine and a bit of spice.

Taste - Citrusy, spicy and floral upfront, then a big punch of toasted bread and lesser caramel pushes forward to deliver a mostly balanced finish. Aftertaste lingers with spice, hints of caramel sweetness and pith bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a semi-dry finish.

Overall - Not the punchiest IPA out there, but I really dig the balance and flavor profile that this delivers. If it had just a bit more hop bite, it'd be killer.

Great tasting IPA. Smooth and relaxing. I recommend this beer for most IPA drinkers. If you like a nice tasting, not too bitter beer give it a try. Nice color, nice smell, good taste but it's a little murky.

Mother Earth Brew Co. "Boo Koo"
12 fl. oz. can, "GENESIS DATE 07/19/18 N237"
$1.83 @ Cherry Hill Wine, Liquor & Beer (Wegmans), Cherry Hill, NJ

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a slightly hazy golden body beneath a two finger thick head of off-white foam. The aroma is citrusy and tropical with notes of orange, sweet malt, mild grapefruit, apricot, and pineapple. There's a sweetness to it that makes it seem like a tropical candy. Moving forward, the flavor follows with orange dominating, but also some additional papaya and soft pine. The malt is grainy and lightly bready, and sweetish but not too sweet. Altogether it's a little like fruit ambrosia except that a firm bitterness reigns it in and eventually brings it to a dry conclusion. The alcohol never shows. Looking back I've still got a cream cap of foam, and there's some nice lacing about the glass. If I forgive the haze, and I'm going to because it's probably from dry-hopping, it scores a 4.25 out of 5. In the mouth it's medium bodied with a dextrinous edge, and smooth across the palate with a fine-bubbled, median carbonation. It's a nice beer to relax with. It's interesting, and different, and there's plenty of flavor to keep you satisfied.

Got this from my friend @csp0380.
A - Pours a clear golden orange with 1 finger of head.
S - Aroma is mango, grapefruit and piney.
T - Mango is the flavor on the front end. The bitterness at the finish is a lot of grapefruit zest.
M - Medium mouth feel and carbonation.
O - A good, solid IPA.

If you love Fresh Squeezed IPA from Deschutes Brewery then you will love this one too. A bit lighter in color (I prefer lighter colored IPAs - reminds me of the Pliny malts) and a little creamier than Fresh Squeezed. A really easy drinking IPA. A must try if you love Mosaic hops. I got this in a can - poured great - not missing the bottle at all.

Pours a finger of head on a clear straw body.
The aroma is danky citrus.
The taste is clean with a quick bitter followed by a honey sweet and some spice. Nice.
The texture is crisp.
Enjoyable.
