Pours a deep caramel color, only a little carbonation visible. Bourbon dominates the smell in a good way. Tastes of bourbon, malt, toffee, and banana. Hint of oak. Can feel a light fizz on the tongue. Overall, a good expression of the style. Bourbon is present alongside the usual quad characteristics, but neither one dominates or is lost. It's solid. Great value too. My first experience with Mother Earth Brew Co, but I would definitely buy from them again.

Pours an opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, dark fruit, and bourbon aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, dark fruit, caramel, toffee, bourbon, honey, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of wood bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with solid bourbon barrel aged characteristics that work well with the base beer.

Serving type: bottle.
