On tap at Lucky Baldwins Delirium Cafe in Sierra Madre, CA.
Brewed exclusively for Lucky Baldwins locations.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, dark fruit, cocoa powder, earth, and char aromas. Taste is much the same with burnt toast, cocoa powder, dark fruit, earth, and char flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting dark fruit aroma and flavor that I wasn't expecting.
Serving type: on tap.
