Using our flagship ale as a base, we put an even more nostalgic twist on our style-defining brew; simulating your favorite childhood classic. The only difference? You don’t have to chase down the ice cream man. Cali Creamsicle features hints of vanilla and a distinct citrus cream flavor that finishes slightly sweeter than it’s Cream Ale counterpart. Just as refreshing, just as iconic.

I'm a Vista boy so it's my obligation to try out all the Vista brews.
It tastes good, maybe not in a way one might expect. Vanilla is there. Orange is there. They coalesce in a good way, though in my view it manifests in the form of a pixie stick with some sugary orange powder. That's my initial instinct, but it's rather deprecatory towards the actual brewing process of this beer.
The cream ale per se is there but definitely overshadowed by the orange and vanilla. Especially the vanilla, which definitely espouses its prominence over the orange. That being said, the orange is definitely present. In other words, it's basically the same as the vanilla vanilla cream ale but with some orange added.

I actually love this whole line now. I thought the OG nitro would be my favorite but nah I think it's this. For fans of Station 26 Tangerine cream in CO I highly recommend this, the Tangerine is more subtle but the beer as a whole seems more natural and refreshing, I like this more.

Canned 9/2/21; drank 11/12/21 @ Midsommar Phoenix.
Murky dull orange appearance.
An even pour yielded a big white head; minimal lace.
Orange creamsicle notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium mouthfeel.
Orange creamsicle flavor...straight up orange creamsicle.
A bit too on-the-nose, but overall kinda fun. I'd have another!!

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger fizzy white head that receded to a thick collar; no lacing;
S: orange and vanilla;
T: vanilla with orange in the background from start to finish;
M: light bodied; light to moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: aroma had better balance, but this was quite good;

consumed less than a month after the canning date of 6/8/21. Nice, clear gold color, but the head is not very dense and is very short lived. No lacing to speak of. Smells and tastes like creamsicle ice cream, but I am not a fam of the lingering feeling of a thick lager-like coating left in my mouth afterwards.
