Grunt fill from Albertsons. Dark brown, let’s some light in, spare head. Faint roast grain aroma, nutty, sweet. Taste is much fuller, toasty, chocolate, nuts, brown sugar. Mild bitterness. Hard to believe it’s 8℅. Little warmth. But tasty as all get out...

On tap at Mother Earth. This is described as an agave brown, apparently this is blue agave straight from Jalisco.

A: Transparent red tinged brown with a creamy tan head.

S: Faint caramel notes with toasted bread and subtle dark fruit notes. Touch of alcohol.

T: Lightly toasted bread with notes of caramel and a subtle sweetness that pervades all aspects of the flavor, though be beer is quite dry. Agave imparts an earthen note. Fruity esters are faint. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Finish is dry, with toasted bread, caramel, and earth. Interesting.

M: Medium body with moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is dry and smooth.

Overall: A unique brown that I enjoyed quite a bit.

Note: I know its bad to base my thoughts on a taster but...
Talked it over with the brewer and this is cool, not agave nectar but actual agave plants were used in the boil.

A - Slightly watery brown as per most brown ales. Nice off white head that stuck around for a bit.

S - Nice rich brown ale smell with plenty of malty goodness.

T - Very unique with the added agave providing a little more sweetness that was balanced nicely by a little more robust malt bill.

M - Nice creaminess you'd want from a brown ale without being heavy on the palate.

D - This is a killer beer and I'd drink it all the time if only they had a tap handles in town. HINT HINT

I had this beer on-tap at Tony's in Burbank and really loved it.

A - Deep brown with a decent white head

S - malty and rich

T - had a great malty taste and I could taste the hints of agave. Mildly sweet finish

M - moderate carbonation and nice robust feeling without being heavy

D - I could easily drink a few of these...
