On tap at Mother Earth.
A: Near black, with a big creamy light brown head and nice retention.
S: Lightly roasted malt with a nice chocolate profile. There's a hint of coffee and a little nuttiness. Low earthy quality and no evident alcohol.
T: Nice chocolate profile with a little oatmeal and a restrained roast. Very smooth and soft, with alcohol being well masked. Low earthy bitterness and a touch of nutty character. The chocolate finish is dry and there's a dash of coffee.
T: Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is smooth, silky, and soft.
Overall: A tasty beer. Very smooth with a nice chocolate profile.

Near black in color but definitely dark brown, especially near the edges with a very thin light brown head. It doesn't leave much stick on the glass and looks a bit thin and watery as I agitate it.
Nice collection of aromas consisting of chocolate, roasted malt, and some earthy oat character. The best aspect of this beer.
A lot of the more interesting elements found in the aroma, namely the chocolate, is tough to find in the flavor. This is a simple, roasty stout with a bit of oat and coffee flavors. Simple and drinkable.
Thin to medium mouthfeel with low carbonation.
A simple, somewhat thin, roasty stout with a very nice chocolatey aroma.

On tap at Stone's 15th Anniversary
A: Black with a light brown head.
S: Roasted malts, oats, dark chocolate and (no joke) dog food.
T: Coffee, roasted malt and a touch of licorice. There was nothing particularly "wrong" with this beer, but it just didn't wow me. The flavors didn't jump out at all.
