Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Pours dark orange with a little haziness and a nice white head. Leaving a bunch of lacing as the head fades. The first thing that I smell is caramel malts followed by some pine and citrus. On first sip I thought that it was a bit malty but as drink it's really growing on me. The hops are there and although this beer doesn't quite have the hop presence that I tend to like this beer is really good. It finishes relatively dry leaving a perfect bitterness on your tongue that makes me want more and more. Overall this beer is very balanced and drinkable.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Boise, Idaho location as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear golden with white head which left a spotty lace. The beer was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

12 oz can, canned 10/13/21. Pours slightly hazy orange gold with a medium creamy head that retains fairly well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is bready malts with a lot of piney resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready caramel malt and a little fruit with big piney resiny hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery.

Overall, a nice west coast DIPA.

12oz can (dated 3/21/21) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a hazy orange color with 1/4 inch of white head that quickly dissipated and left minimal lacing.

Citrusy hops (grapefruit and light lemon) dominated the nose, with a very light grain scent underneath. The same on the tongue; dull hops and light, earthy grain.

The body was typical, medium, maybe a touch on the full side, had a pleasing coarseness, and a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was OK, but that's all. Overall, a pretty average brew, and maybe it's actually a bit below average, but since it's Christmas.......

Oh, and, the beer of the same name by Port Townsend Brewing is far superior.

A fruity double IPA. For my taste it was a little too sweet. The sweetness masks the boozyness at first sip but you do get a weird alcohol vapor feel on your mouth after. To me it tastes more like a fruity sour without the sour. If you like fruity IPAs that lack the classic charm of a traditional IPA, than this is for you.

This is the beer that I decided to try this brewing company out for. Rather than just a six-pack of these, I elected to pick up the mixed 12-pack, when I noticed it contained this beast. It was a great decision. All four were delicious, and the ginger blonde was the tastiest blonde ale I have tried yet.

I'm not usually impressed with ME's can art, but I actually love the little graphic on this obnoxiously pink can. Real men drink pink cans of Imperial IPA. It pours beautifully with a clear copper hue and a dense two-finger head and lacing that practically coats the glass. A classic West Coast IPA look. Beautiful.

And it utterly reeks of scrumptiously bitter, spicy, herbal hops. Tons of sage, pine, grapefruit, lime and orange rind up front, with subtle hints of durian, mango, pineapple, pink peppercorn, lavender and pizza dough. The herbal and citrus notes practically drown the tropical fruit. You really have to go looking for them. Could be better balanced, I think, but it's got plenty of kick.

The taste is nothing out of the ordinary. The orange bats first, followed by grapefruit, lime, a spicy flare of pepper and then the sage and pine come in and rain hoppy hell over the whole ballpark; subtle hints of lavender and yeasty bread dough cheering in the bleachers.

It has a satisfying body and a nice peppery zing, but the bitterness on the finish bites the tongue and doesn't let go. It's not for the faint of palate.

But for us hop-heads, it sure as hell does the trick. Diggity!

this is quite good, in pink cans now inside their latest mixed pack, a touch sweet, but a nice clear west coast type double ipa with a lot of hop character, good and fresh, and another fine beer from mother earth, who pretty much always does a nice job with whatever they brew. the aroma is a touch sweet, with light cooked berry notes, some fruity weed qualities, and key lime and mango tropicality, majorly fresh, with some impact from the malt but nothing appreciable at all from the yeast. the hops flavor starts early and stays late, i get some very mild bitterness, not full on, and some canned pineapple, sweet orange, and a trace of honey on toast from the malt, but its out of the way enough. there is some sweetness through the whole drink as well, it seems quite balanced then, but its not one i can or want to have a handful of, even though the alcohol is quite well hidden, it still feels like a lot of beer in the glass. definitely a summery islandy sort of complexion to the hops which is nice, but id love this to be dried out just a bit, even at the expense of balance. overall a well refined bigger ipa here, a nice inclusion in the mixed pack, and a beer ill be happy to drink more of, but just one at a time for me...

Jan 10 canning date poured into a snifter.

Appearance is of chill-hazed dark gold with lots of white head and lacing left behind.

The nose is of pretty juicy tropical and citrus fruits; grapefruit, lime, melon, mango - maybe orange and pineapple - dry malt backing buried beneath.

The palate delivers on a fairly juicy spectrum, from tropical and sweet to bitter and dank; grapefruit and mango, pithy resin, dank greenness, crackery malt.

Medium bodied and carbed well. Moderate bitterness.

Overall it’s tasty and delivers what it says it will. Not the best I’ve had but worth trying.

Six pack of cans purchased at Total Wine in Lynnwood, Washington.
"Genesis date" is 11/29/19. Poured in to a pint glass.

Look- Very slightly hazy darker amber color, solid little off-white head with good retention, moderate lacing. Light carbonation streaming as it sits.

Smell- Citrus (orange/tangerine, grapefruit and lemon), canned pineapple and mango, melon and peach, grassy, dank, resinous pine, herbal/floral elements, light over-ripe kiwi that get stronger the more it warms. Light caramel malt.

Taste- Citrus and tropical fruit are the major players, a solid caramel malt backbone.

Feel- Medium/light bodied with an aggressive bitter finish, slightly boozy. Average carbonation. Pretty well balanced.

O- A pretty solid WC DIPA, better offerings are out there but worth trying if you see it.
