Big foam on pouring into the tall nonic. More of a head than you often get from IPAs. Spritzy on the tongue but hardly a bubble to be seen. A little spoiled fruit in the aroma.

Spicy and sweet varieties of hops. Seems to go with the massive sweet malt. This is really heavy and strong. Bitter orange marmalade is the taste. Candied mango. Sharp and on the acidic side. Very bitter aftertaste. Even a little woody and astringent.

This is certainly not going to be a favorite DIPA. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Baron's Marketplace in San Diego for nine bucks.

The beer offers hugely sweet malts, caramel sweetness, breadiness. In general, despite being a couple weeks fresh, the beer offers herbaceous and old tasting hop. Alcohol comes along with the sweetness. A messy beer with bitterness, huge malts, bland hops.

Thanks to hopodyssey for sharing this one at Tieman's tasting.

Pours a clear orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with earthy citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that has a very earthy citrus hop flavor.
