Appearance: Pours a deep, darkish orange color with a sticky, soapy white foam head. Retains well.

Aroma: Juicy citrus, herbal, some hints of tropical.

Taste: Malty, biscuity, followed by a punch of bitterness. Subtle tropical fruit. Bitterness lingers.

Overall: Another good IPA. Would be better drinking with friends.

Poured into a tulip glass it has a fluffy off white head of an inch and a half with a orange amber clear body. Smell of citrus, hops, earth, lots of malt, clove, and a bit of spice. Taste is much the same, very bitter piny, not too sweet, lots of malt, citrus, and earth. Mouth feel is full with a moderate body and a moderate to heavy carbonation. A decent double IPA but it isn't anything fantastic or I'd pick up again, not flavorful enough to make a complex bitter DIPA.

Poured into a snifter. A fairly murky rusty brown-orange color with a nice frothy light tan head. Great retention. Big citrus on the nose - oranges, grapefruit, and a hint of lime. Faint malt presence. Bracingly bitter on the first sip with predominant citrusy notes but more resiny, pine as well. A big malt backbone with a spicy rye character. Clean finish.

In my flight at J Clydes in Birmingham.

Color is amazing. Super clear but reddish hue. For an amber ale. Flavor is spot on.

Nice beer for fall/winter to dip in front of fire with cheese platter.

Poured from a 22 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark golden brown with a medium sized white head. The aroma is full of citrus, honey and some biscuit style yeast. The taste is a great awesome hop punch. I really enjoyed this.

This was stale and not very balanced, the beer may have been accidentally aged by the person who brought the beer out, but considering that most straight to ale beers I've had, it probably just wasn't up to par

No label information. GorillaNaut is brewed in the style of an American Imperial IPA, available in 22 oz. bottles and on limited draft.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle to a tulip glass.

(Appearance) Pours a frothy, cream head of a golden-beige tone over a densely hazy sunset amber body with ample, lively carbonation. Retention is very good and lacing is light and patchy. 4

(Smell) Strong aromas of juicy citrus, lemon and herbal hops with a bold bitterness, atop a grainy caramel and pale malt body with a reserved sweetness. Potency is moderate. 3.75

(Taste) Grain malts, light caramel syrup body, biscuit malts, herbal tea, lemon and faint citrus notes. Juicy citrus, gruff, filling and brash malt character and an equally brazen hop bitterness comes together in an aggressive DIPA. 3.75

(Mouthfeel) Texture is lightly chewy, grainy, medium dry. Carbonation is moderate, generating a medium frothiness and a medium crispness. Body is medium for the style, medium/heavy overall. Balance is moderately hoppy bitter and grainy over sweet. Alcohol presence is light and there are no off characters. 3.75

(Overall) A fairly solid DIPA with an equally bold malt graininess to hop profile. Hops in my batch were a little off, possibly an older batch. Unfortunately Straight To Ale doesn't seem to have adopted a dating policy for their bottles like they have their cans, so be cautious when seeking out what is supposed to be this late-summer arrival. 3.75
