Can from HomeBrewStuff. Quite a disappointment, I'm usually pleased with their output. On all counts, this brew falls short for the style, dry, murky, musty, metallic.

Utah - light weight state - in terms of beer. The reviewer immediately below had his beer in Zion Park. I had mine straight from the can at Bryce Park overlooking the canyon. Beautiful place - OK beer. For me, this beer needs to dial the flavors up and dial the carbonation down just a little. Dial up the yeast and roasted grains to add some character. On a hot day, this beer will cool your thirst. But just a couple of small moves in the flavor profile could make this a really good beer instead of just OK.

Had this tonight on tap, it was smooth and very drinkable. I'd order again.

Reviewed during the last week when out of service area/Wifi in WY/UT. Full phone notes taken at the Watchman Campground, Zion National Park, UT.

A- Poured from a tallboy can to a chalice with a medium amber hue (also had it on draft last night at Moab Brewery). A white head rises to one finger with a thick foamy texture. Head retention is decent as it falls to a medium ring with some haze on the middle. Webbed splotches of lace at the top with spots below.

S- Very mild aroma but in strength not style. I stress to pick up notes of cereal grain, light fruits, caramel grains and something like corn.

T- Picks up here as it becomes much easier to follow and gains strength. English yeast character of light spice phenolics, dried fruit, bread and apple esters. Hops and grains bring spicy, floral, toasty caramel, nutty cereal and lightly sweet notes. Corn hint again makes me wonder as Milds are often brewed with maize.

MF- Light bodied but a texture between foamy and fizzy keeps it from feeling at all watery. Carbonation is medium to high. Just a tad bitter.

I am not sure how many other Amber Milds I have had but this satisfies with attributes from both spectrums.
