The Warren Store is a solid one hour drive from my house, and though I've made the solo trek a number of times, I really enjoy bringing my wife and son there because it is such a great place to visit
Pure Vermont, this is the epitome of a Country Store: the smells, the sights, the locals. The gentlemen that greet me every time I go are friendly and fun to talk to. Really nice place to sit down and have a meal also (the roast turkey reuben was hefty and delicious).
While their beer selection is limited to the size of the small cooler, they have what I'm looking for. Fun store to visit and super nice folks!

Visited this week, was underwhelmed. Very small cooler, only VT beers.

Me, I enjoy the semi-rustic sort of general store that this place gives off, maybe not for city slickers, but hey, it's one of the four places in Vermont to grab Lawson's bottles, and actually, this is the "first" place on the stop to grab their bottles. With that in mind, get there early to get their bottles because at least during the off season of tourists, they don't limit Lawson's bottles. Also, they get S.O.S., and Heady. Recommend.

Very very eclectic store and a joy to visit. Heck, they even have some great beers to play with. One of the places one can get Heady and Sip. Well worth going.

The thing is, Lawson's essentially loves this place. But you gotta come here for the provisional country store vibe- I guarantee if you can spend just a bit of time here, slow down, relax, you'll walk out with more than just beer. Don't go in thinking you're gonna find #whalezbro, in fact I didn't find anything, but you'll walk out w real time Vermont if ya want.

It's a real small unassuming store in a very small town, situated very out of the way from anything very large or major.
Has a real unique country store vibe to it. I love the wooden refrigerators with the trim and nice handles, what a neat little touch.
The store is however very small, in which half is taken over by a deli and popular sandwich counter. Can't comment on the food though. Selection is quite tiny actually, but you'll find something local. It's a good spot for Lawson's brews as this store tends to actually get the bottles, or at least it did when I visited on their delivery date. Service is pretty solid, depending on who you get I found.

Yes, this is the place we all go to for our Lawson's/Heady Topper. But I have found some other local brews here that were stellar as well. Also, BCBS, and several Bruery finds. And glassware. I always leave with more than just the Heady/Lawson's.
Also the food is stellar. I am not sure who Emily is, but her breakfast special a few weeks ago was awesome.
I understand that it is not as easy to score Lawson's/Heady here as it once was, but that is not the stores fault. There are plenty of other places I have been to in Vermont that carry Heady, and the store owners are frustrated by those who only come in on the Heady hunt, and buy nothing else. And their level of service shows. But not at the Warren Store. Their service is always impeccable. Attentive, friendly employees who always smile and greet you, even if you are in a crappy mood because you just drove 7 hours, and the beer delivery hasn't arrived yet.
This is the place I always stop for breakfast on the way into Vermont for my beer hunt, for the service, food, and (not bad, but not stellar) coffee. If the Heady or Lawson's is on the shelf, that's just gravy...

This used to be the place to go for limited Lawson's bottles.
Now, it's best left for the locals.

Great little general store that gets some very nice VT beers in stock. They also get some other nice bottles/cans from time to time but you just have to check it out because I'm sure it varies all the time. The place has just about anything you would need to survive, There is a small kitchen in the back where you can get some sandwiches made which were awesome. It's a great stop just to check it out even if you don't buy anything.

Rustic country general store look and feel alongside an often not quite roaring brook. Place sells a bit of everything, but the good stuff is in the cooler in the back. Not a particularly large selection, but they often have Lawson's (a rarer commodity prior to their opening their own place) and other Vermont favorites. Farm fresh deli is opposite the cooler and they make a top-notch sandwich. There are a few tables inside and a deck overlooking the stream on the side if one wants to eat right there. Great stop on the way to Waterbury.
