What a great store. This place makes the 4 hour trip from Boston we'll worth it. Not only is this my go to for Lawson's and Heady Topper but they also have an extraordinary selection of Vermont made items. Did I mention the service?? My first trip up there was on a Tuesday (not a good day for Lawson's) not knowing the beer release schedule. When I told Keith how far I drove - he went way above and beyond - and called some other stores in the area to see if they had any Lawson's left. Wow. Great people, great service and before I forget GREAT food. Don't forget to try one of their amazing sandwiches!!!

A very nice drive from Waterbury. Cute store with the infamous Lawson's beer. The store is so Vermont. Nice little seating area with coffee and baked goods. Nice looking deli selection. Some nice local offerings of trail mix, merchandise, wine etc. The coffee was delicious. But we are here for Lawson's. It is Thursday morning at 10 am. The beer is not here as we arrive, and there are various individuals milling about the store, are they here for beer? Yes they are.

The Lawson's starts rolling in at 10:10 or so on a hand truck from the back. The store clerk is right on it. Passing out the beer with the four bottle limit per person. Up to the register to check out. Nice people, friendly, especially considering we are really just there for the beer. A very positive experience.

The Warren Store is a solid one hour drive from my house, and though I've made the solo trek a number of times, I really enjoy bringing my wife and son there because it is such a great place to visit

Pure Vermont, this is the epitome of a Country Store: the smells, the sights, the locals. The gentlemen that greet me every time I go are friendly and fun to talk to. Really nice place to sit down and have a meal also (the roast turkey reuben was hefty and delicious).

While their beer selection is limited to the size of the small cooler, they have what I'm looking for. Fun store to visit and super nice folks!

SO recently visited the infamous Warren Store on 7/25/13. We went here with on thing on mind. Lawson's. So the store is awesome. Looks like your typical vintage Vermont store and loaded with goodies. Lots and lots of wine for sale in the front of the store. We were directed to the back of the store where the deli was (the beer is located here) Well they had the Lawson's release for that week (was delivered that day) Also had a nice little small selection of other great beers too.

This was the first of several planned stops on a recent weekend venture into The Land Of Great New England Beer, aka the homes of The Alchemist, Lawson's and Hill Farmstead. The Warren Store is supposed to be one of only two main venues where Lawson's is regularly available.

A wonderful two story Victorian building with double wraparound porches, and an outdoor eating area at the edge of a solid stone chasm with a stream at the bottom. Worth visiting even if you have zero interest in craft beer, just for the setting and architecture.

Big fairly bright interior with wine on the right and various sundries on the left, deli food counter beyond on the left and old wooden-framed coolers for beer towards the back right which I naturally made a beeline for. Small display of sixpacks and bombers opposite the coolers.

As you know if you are an experienced New England BA, Lawson's is delivered on Thursdays and is usually gone by Friday afternoon. We arrived Saturday afternoon. Bought 2011 Pannepot, 2013 Sculpin sixpack and Grassroots (a Hill Farmstead collaboration) Arctic Saison at good prices as a consolation.

Young stock clerk was very helpful in assuring me that they were out of anything Lawson's while cheerfully volunteering alternatives. Checkout clerk seemed to be either the store manager or an owner. Both were pleasant and engaging.

Loved this place, but when I go back I have to make it a Thursday. (I had hoped to hit the Waitsfield Farmers Market for Lawsons when the family set up there Sept. 21, but had company that weekend and could not go.)

Fortunately we were able to do dinner at the Prohibition Pig in Waterbury an hour or so later, so I still got to at least taste Lawson's Double Sunshine and also Maple Wheat.

Yes, this is the place we all go to for our Lawson's/Heady Topper. But I have found some other local brews here that were stellar as well. Also, BCBS, and several Bruery finds. And glassware. I always leave with more than just the Heady/Lawson's.
Also the food is stellar. I am not sure who Emily is, but her breakfast special a few weeks ago was awesome.
I understand that it is not as easy to score Lawson's/Heady here as it once was, but that is not the stores fault. There are plenty of other places I have been to in Vermont that carry Heady, and the store owners are frustrated by those who only come in on the Heady hunt, and buy nothing else. And their level of service shows. But not at the Warren Store. Their service is always impeccable. Attentive, friendly employees who always smile and greet you, even if you are in a crappy mood because you just drove 7 hours, and the beer delivery hasn't arrived yet.
This is the place I always stop for breakfast on the way into Vermont for my beer hunt, for the service, food, and (not bad, but not stellar) coffee. If the Heady or Lawson's is on the shelf, that's just gravy...

Very very eclectic store and a joy to visit. Heck, they even have some great beers to play with. One of the places one can get Heady and Sip. Well worth going.
