Notch is fucking great. They pump out consistently good beers with taste profiles that belie the ABV.

This Pilsner pours crystal clear with a golden body beneath a light, puffy head. Aroma of dough, grass and light caramel grains.

Taste is grainy, light hay, bread with a LJ underlying malty sweetness. Light and crisp on the palate.

Pours golden, the head on this is absolutely glorious. It is aromatically assertive. Getting a floral bouquet of zesty lime. Some fresh baked bread as well. This reminds me a lot of Prima Pils (a good thing). It's a got a strong dry ritz cracker, saltine backbone. It's got beautiful floral and citrusy character as well that raises this pilsner nicely and gives it some great crispness. Again, a great dry finish. A really superb pilsner by Notch.

Can. Gold with lasting head and lace. Bready herbal noble aroma. Lightly toasted cereal sweetness with light herbal finish. Very light body soft and fine. Very good.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated 4/15/19 into the test glass.
A - Like a sunny afternoon, forsythia in bloom colored backdrop, excellent clarity allows for the steady parade of carbonation to mesmerize. A quick to exits white cap, leaves rings of truth throughout the experience.
S - Not much in this aspect, hints only of sweet malt, and grassy hops.
T - Much better, that hint of German malt, and sweet light touch it delivers. Herbal hops add that fresh green kiss
M - Uniform feel, with a crisp finish. Nice balance between malts sweetness and the bittering hops
O - A wonderful offering from a talented brewer, Excellent example of the style

Mildly hazy (quite clear for unfiltered) dirty gold color. Two finger bar poured head that settles to a layer of single layer of bubbles. Streaky lace.

Mild, almost nonexistent smell. I get a light refrigerator smell with raw (pale) malted barley.

The taste is much more pronounced and interesting. Highly carbonated with a moderate body. The flavor is of pale malts that start dry but swallow sweetly. The bittering hop provides balance but remains in the background.

Light golden amber in color. Clear in appearance. German Pale Lager dry hopped with Grüngeist & Hallertau Blanc. Pure German in ingredients and untraditional in flavor profile. Light, cr4isp and easy drinking yet fairly flavor forward.
