I don't make it to Chambersburg often but when I do, I stop in here. I have yet to eat here or sample their tap selection as i am the one driving, but from what I can see, the selection of on tap beers is also pretty wide. The bottle selection is great. The staff is friendly and the prices are well within reason. The decor is modern, clean and comfortable. The beer coolers are easy to get too and there is no clutter like you find in some places. I have not had a growler filled here but when I do I will edit this review.

Nice selection of canned/bottled and on-tap. I believe they currently have over 30 taps. Growler refills. Basic food (hotdogs/nachos) but the hotdogs are quite good. Service is always good and friendly as well. Prices tend to be on the high side - example: Sam Smiths Stingo cost $17 here but only $12 elsewhere. I love to shop here as I can enjoy a draft while I browse the coolers for my take-out. Really don't like that the majority of beer is "mystery priced" meaning you find out when you get to the cash register.

Not a fan of this place. Good selection but that is about it. It's always to busy for the amount of seating. Pretty snobby atmosphere for a place located in what looks like an abandon strip mall. Way overpriced and I'm used to buying quality craft beer and I am aware of market price and that it's expensive but they are rediculous. They don't price any of there bottle selection so you have to ask about pricing when you take it to the register. A little advice ( be upfront ).

Ok selection, pricing tends to be a bit high but this is the only thing resembling a bottle shop for miles around.

The best thing about Good-Ta-Go is the selection. Thirty beers on tap, and lots of variety on the shelves. You can pick and choose six-packs, which is good. Unfortunately there is little to no atmosphere here. The place is wedged into the industrial section of Orchard Drive, and the seating is not the best. If they made it more pub-style, and offered some better food selections, I would go there every time. Still, for what they offer, this is not a bad spot. I am hopeful that they will make some improvements in the future. If they want my advice, go for the German Beer Hall experience. That would be... awesome.

Awesome taps, great bottle offerings at good prices. Vibe is a little lame...like a sub shop/pizza shop atmosphere, but the attention to beer makes it a good pitstop.

Great spot that is well beyond any other option in the Chambersburg area. Large open layout with coolers lines up and filled with quite a bit of different stuff. Some of it is pretty macro, but the majority is not. Lots of taps; also with good stuff and a nice variety. I found Deschutes Black Butte XXVI here, which was a nice surprise. As it looks like I will now be spending a fair portion of time in Chambersburg, I will be coming back here often.

Popped in here while visiting a friend who lives in the area- had been here a while back but it appears that they've expanded with outdoor seating and also an extended covered seated section where the drive through used to be...

In the area, there's not much better in terms of selection, which is also probably why they are a little bit on the higher side of things price-wise in the bottle shop portion of the establishment (nothing is labeled, so make sure you ask before buying- we were a bit stunned at a ~$20 six pack!). Good selection on the taps, nice option to be able to make your own flights (some beers with slight upcharges). Prices per pint / growler seemed to be in line with the norm.

I have been to Good Ta Go three times so far and plan on going back frequently. It is located in Chambersburg Pa and has a huge variety of beer. They have 30 beers on tap which they rotate regularly. You can get a drought and sit down to enjoy or drink it while you pick out a mix and match sixer. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. A must try for any beer lover!

I've stopped here several times, it's close, with easy access off Rt. 11, or Exit 14 off I81 in south Chambersburg. A nice selection of bottles for mixed sixes and single bottles at the higher prices. I still find it reasonable.
A very nice tap selection of quality beers, seasonals and year rounds. Always greeted and helped, just a friendly, nice store/eatery.
I'm glad it's around.

My mother-in-law lives in nearby Waynesboro, so whenever we drive down to visit, we always make a trip to Good-Ta-Go, which several years ago was my introduction to PA bottle shops.

Good Ta Go is located on Orchard Road, Chambersburg, in kind of a business park area. It's a new building, bright and clean. I usually go there off peak hours, so never too busy. Atmosphere is usually pretty good, with tables both inside and out. The last time I was there, they even converted the drive thru to a seating area to accomodate a tasting.

As you go in, the tap area and counter are to your left, while the small indoor seating is to your right. They usually have about 30 beers on tap, and will do a 4 or 6 sampler flight if you wish. Last time I had Big Gruesome, a keg only Victory IPA, and a Great Lakes EF Porter, so always some good stuff there.

To get to the craft beer mix a six section, continue to the back of the store. (Hurry past the macro section in the coolers to the left.) They have a pretty decent, but not huge selection, PA breweries and breweries from across the country, imports, some bombers. You have to be careful though. The regular mix a six does NOT include the top row in each cooler, or the two doors to the farthest right. They have blue labelling, but when you're drooling over beer, it can be easy to miss the first couple of times. There are also some 4 & 6 packs out on the limited floor space.

Food is extremely basic, just enough to get around PA beer laws.

It would be nice if the beers were priced, and there is the occasional freshness issue. The main thing to watch for is pricing on some of the "bigger" 12oz beers. Rubeus was $5.00 a bottle, Devil Dancer &7.00. Once picked up two DFH WWS at $16.00 each. Ouch.

Overall though, I really like the place, glad it's here.

A great selection for picking up less than a case in SC PA. The selection is good, especially when seasonal offerings come on from breweries. The extreme beers can sometimes be a bit dated and lack freshness. You pay for the luxury of good help and a better selection when choosing to buy less than a case here.

Located right off of Route 81, we checked out this place on the way back home from Virginia to Massachusetts.

Drive thru liquor store, yes please. They also have a serving bar for drafts, 22's, sixers, and make a six pack area. A lot of hard to find beers and locals ones too. The quality was good and they had around 30 kegs for sampling and growler fills too. The prices were average to a bit pricey, but well worth it to me. Got a limited edition double IPA from Blue Point and a triple IPA from a small locally brewery for growler fills. The gentleman at the counter were very helpful and gave us a card to make any special orders next time we were driving through. Pretty happy to have found this base and a stop for anybody driving through the area.

The best tip I can give you is that if you do want to check this place out, the location on Google Maps is incorrect (do not go up 696 you'll end up at a gravel dumping pit of sorts). The address is actually in town on Orchard Drive (not Road).

That being said, it's a very clean and well spaced out location with lots of parking. The store gives the impression though there is a huge variety, but to some degree it does lack. Foreign imports are menial, and the craft selection is mostly local, but with that you will find some PA beers such as Chambersburg's own Roy Pitz, Allentown Breworks, Stouds, and so forth. Definitely would not find the elsewhere.

However, the craft selection is mostly small, and devoted to their mix a 6 selection which goes for $14 dollars a pack (just remember to pick from the blue shelves). Of course domestic is $8.50 a pack but that doesn't mean the local stuff counts right? yeah we all know... There's also very few six packs or bombers.

There is however numerous tap items that are available for growler fills, but there wasn't anything I was seriously excited to grab. Service is quite knowledgeable and friendly, and I am sure there's a ton of cases of certain items also.

I wouldn't come out of my way just to go here, but it's a good place to know about if you happen to be passing by. If I happen to be in the area or passing by I would easily stop by again.

Easy off the highway, we stopped in here for a few bombers and a look see on the way down to Charlotte, NC

Modern, lacking in character and very clean sort of place, you can drive through to pick up some quality brews (always a fun option). Growler filling takes place up front. They will fill whatever growler you bring in, according to the friendly guy doing the filling.

Tons of bottles, mostly in the rear cooler units.
Others have mentioned the lack of prices on the bottles.

Selection is huge. Most of the stuff seemed to be widely available (at least for me coming from NY state) but you surely will find plenty of quality options.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area and would be a obvious choice for the locals

One of the few places in the area with a large selection of craft bottles. They constantly get new brews in stock and even let you craft your own six packs to a degree. They also have around 30 beers on tap which constantly changes after one is kicked. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

There are a few downsides to this place:
It can get crowed on the weekend, especially Sunday. There's only about eight tables inside and two outside, so you're usually left standing.

There also tends to be quite a few well to do snobs sipping on their $8 8oz glass of beer. They always give you weird looks when you order a $4 16oz IPA.

Some of the staff can ignorant at times. If you ask for a sample of an expensive brew they usually sigh then respond by saying, "a very small one". I'm not expecting half a beer, just one sip worth. I don't feel like dishing out $8 on a glass of beer that I've never had. Most of the staff doesn't mind you having a sample though. It's funny how they're hesitant to give a customer a 1/2oz sample from a keg they paid $200 for and are selling the beer for $6 a glass. They're only making $800 of the keg rather than $800.03.

There is a limited selection of food. I think the only reason they sell food is to get around the PA beer laws.

I only wish I lived closer. This is one of the top bottle shops I have been in. It has one wall of coolers with nothing but microbrews bottles and you can make a mix a six pack. They have another wall of coolers that have imports, domestic and six packs.

They also have several shelves with bottles and six packs that are warm. There were a few bottles that I have not seen before and some special brews.

If that wasn't enough they have 30 taps of quality brews. You can also get a four or six flight of samples. They also have growlers to go and half growlers. There is an area with TV and tables and chairs along with an outside sitting area.

The only food I tried was a soft pretzel that my son and I split, it was very good. The service was outstanding and they could not have been nicer. I live about an hour away but whenever I'm back in the area or looking to make a road trip this place will be at the top of my list.

The only improvement that would be nice is having the bottles priced so you don't have to keep asking. I understand inventory can turn over quickly and it's a pain to price each bottle so maybe just a price list you can hand out.

This is a great new addition to the Chambersburg area. They offer about 20 rotating taps, growler fills, mix your own 6 pack. It is nice to not have to buy an entire case from a distributor. Great place for trying lots of different beers.

They have a really good variety of beer, lots of PA and MD brews. I believe they advertise about 500 different brews in stock.

They normally have Wednesday evening tastings and Firkin Thursdays. Friday nights in the summer they have music outside. Great place to have a drink and relax.

The food isn't great, just hot-dogs, soft pretzels, etc. I also wish they had prices on the bottled beer so you are not surprised at the check-out counter.

Stopped in the other day when i was in the area. Has both a drive through and a store section. Store section was decent sized, a front part with a few tables and high stools if you wanted to eat and have a drink. A few plasma screens were also in the area. I was there for 6 packs to go, so i immediately headed towards the deli coolers.

Walking towards the back, there is an entire wall of deli coolers along the left side and along the back wall. Filled with numerous 6-packs as well as a ton of singles along the back wall. They encourage making a mix a six pack. Great selection of beers, lots of locals (Lancaster, Troegs, Weyerbacher, Victory) and others (Bells, Founders, Stone, CigarCity). What caught my eye, and what i was looking for was the Founders breakfast stout. In fact, out of all the places i went to in Chambersburg, this was the only place that had FBS, very fresh at the time, so mad props to them.

I didn't have a beer or food here, since i was trying to hit a number of establishments that day. But they had a large number of beers on tap, and they all looked great. No idea about the food, but i think i saw something about hot dogs.

All in all, a great place. Reminded me a lot of Al's in Hampden located outside Harrisburg, just more selection and less emphasis on food. Highly recommend if you want to try a lot of different beers.

Good Ta Go is a really great store. People have been waiting for a place like this for awhile in this area. The 30 Beers that they have on tap is the best selection around. The employees are very helpful and very knowledgable about beer. Jason is the beer guy. He can easily match with the perfect beer for you. They also have free beer tastings on almost every wednesday. The food is also good. If you are ever in the mood for a great hot dog or hot sausage? Then, this place is for you. The soft pretzels are amazing. Overall Good Ta Go is a great place for for beer lovers. I highly recommend it.

By far an oasis amongst beer lovers of this region (not saying anything bad a about Yuengs) The only thing this place needs is a barber and a stripper pole and I would never have a reason to go home. FANTASTIC beer selection. Service was the first time in was a smile and a complimentary lager. The only place I know that has Hooker Beer in PA. Good thick preztels, and brats. Could spice up the menu a bit but no need for "bar food". Even my girlfriend and her friend who are die hard wineys love this place and anyone I have walked in with seems to have some past memory of beer of drinking times past. It has a flavor and taste for everyone BY FAR my favorite place to have one and choose some in all the mid Atlantic

Heard this place opened up, and I'm glad I finally stopped in. Everyone was super friendly, and asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. I told them I was into IPAs, and they immediately pointed me in the direction of several I've never tried. Very cool, clean feel to the place. Didn't try the food, but they sounded delicious.

Also they have growler service, which I'll have to try sometime. This in addition to the fact that they are constantly welcoming in breweries to do tastings, and you've got a winner.

I absolutely love this place. The selections is great, for the most part the staff know their beer, and they have pretty flexible hours. The only real complaint one could really make, in my opinion, is that the building itself is a warehouse style building which can make the atmosphere less than inviting if you care about that kind of thing...luckily I don't. I'm so glad that a place like this opened in my area. I find myself going in atleast once a week and making a sixer/picking up some nice bombers. I've been telling everyone I know about this place to get the word spread. Cheers.
