Notes: Now available at bars you've never heard of.

Balanced and definitely not bland, only American hops are used to brew this piney, citrusy IPA. We use Citra hops in the aroma and Amarrillo hops in the flavor, crafting a well-balanced, West-Coast style IPA with a nice caramel and toffee malt bill.

Tasted from a 12 oz can bought in Tennessee.

L - Dark gold color has slight haziness. There was a bit of visible sediment in the finish of the pour from the can. Off-white head is moderately active on the pour and finishes with a thin sheet and some lacing around the edge.

S - Hops are there, but the variety is indistinct. They seem loosely West Coast-like, with citrus and herbal characters. There is bready malt with some light caramel. The hops nose is disappointing, and I wonder if my can was aged beyond its prime.

T - The flavors are also a bit muddled and indistinct. The hops are a blend of citrus and herbal notes, and the malt has some bready sweetness but also a shade of wet paper or cardboard. Again, the flavors point to this being an aged example.

F - Medium to heavy body seems too heavy for the style. Moderate carbonation. Medium hops bitterness. No noticeable alcohol presence.

O - This is an OK pale ale or IPA with no serious flaws, but also no great selling points. I'd like to try a fresh sample to see if freshness improves the beer significantly.

This IPA has a very weird taste; however it’s a IPA so the ABV is 6.8% not bad for a pretty average beer.

Oops! This is a pass. On tap at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza n Hendersonville, TN. Strange color for an IPA. Color of a dark lager. Taste is? Like potpourri according to our bartender, Michael! No thanks.

Hipster Repellant IPA has a rather thin, off-white head, a deep orange, bubbly appearance, and minimal lacing. The aroma is of strong brown bread crust, and the flavor is of a similar character, with some bitterness. Mouthfeel is high medium, and Hipster Repellant IPA finishes medium dry.

Drinkable & smooth... But honestly it feels greasy in my mouth.... Wouldn't turn it down if offered one but will not buy
again.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Despite zero agitation, this beer came gushing out, resulting with a copper/orange color with several inches of head. Smell is of light pine. Taste is dank, resin, some pine, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

I tried this at Merle's Whiskey Kitchen in Louisville, KY. It poured a slightly hazy orangish with white head that left some lace. The scent had faint bitter citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus hop presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Poured brown, like sweet tea. Head is offwhite. Nose was somewhat sweet. Taste is initially light caramel then the bitter hops take over. The bite hits the back sides of the tongue and lasts a while. Decent ipa.

No pkg date.
Amber hue with oatmeal head with decent lacing.
Aroma is herbal and slightly oniony/dank with light pine and weed. Malt aroma is light caramel and some cereal grain.
Flavor is also mostly herbaceous and dank with some grassy, weedy notes and a bit of pine resin. Maltiness is more caramel than in the nose. Moderate bitterness.
Feel is medium-bodied with tacky but dry finish.
Not a bad beer but a bit old-fashioned.

3/25/18...pours cloudy orange yellow gold. Creamy white foam clings and rolls. Bright citrus floral nose. Heavy malty bitter and with citrus sprinkled. Real crisp and tasty.

A: (Old School Look) Steady carbs going to the top to make a continuing lace and thin layer of head. Orange brown. About standard looking as it gets.
S: Faint grapefruit scent . Floral. Inviting.
F: A bit thin with some of the sting from a grapefruit juice texture, but watery grapefruit. Foamy on the sides of the tongue with a minor bitter wash.
T: The above textures lean to a little on the "odd" side but for an IPA this really is pleasant. It does have the bit of bitter at the front end, and that grapefruit hops but the slight juicy fruit without being sweet and maybe a slight nuttiness at the back end make this a really good stab at the style.
O: I'm glad I picked this up on my annual trip to Louisville. Of course, I also got a sixer of Torpedo which makes this seem like a pale ale, but for fans of grapefruit hops flavor IPAs. this one fits and that it's a Falls City product, when I go back I'll get this again.
