Pours a hazy mahogany color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of caramel malt, slight sweet malt, spicy hops, slight honey, hint of tea, and a hint of corn. Fits the style of an Irish Red Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of caramel malt, slight sweet malt, spicy hops, slight honey, and a hint of tea. Overall, good appearance, blend, corn was a pleasant lightening affect, and not overly tea-centric.

Overall: A good red ale. More dependable than exciting.
L: Red. Creamy head. Nice lacing.
S: Bready malts and herbal, tangy hops.
T: Bready and hoppy. Balanced, but not complex. Straightforward. Not much of an aftertaste.
M: Medium/light body. Biting and sparkly.

Pours clear, ruby red, with 1/2 inch head. Taste is toasted malt, light breadiness, with herbal hops. This makes for a slightly above average, sessionable red ale that is good enough to try, but not rush out for.

Enjoyed from the bottle in a snifter from my doctor friend---Thanks Chris!

This ale pours a medium ruby red with a beautiful head of foam that dissipates to a thick layer and ring with excellent lacing. Nose if weak---a dash of sweet malt, some grains, and a touch of hops. Flavors follow the nose with a medium hopped lightly sweet ale with a lightly bitter hop and grain flavor to the aftertaste. Solid and sessionable, especially on a hot day, but nothing too outstanding. Crisp and highly carbonated mouth feel. Decent

Cheers

Served on tap at O'Connor Brewing Company. Pours a nice ruby red into the glass with decent head and lacing. Smell, however, is very faint and I'm not getting much at all except faint malt. Taste, however is pretty good, with a nice tart quality I like. Mouthfeel is also good, with a smooth fullness on the tongue. This is a pretty solid offering from OBC.

I have this on tap at o Connor every time I go there which is frequently. This is my go to beer. Poured in a typical pint glass it is a nice red Amber color. It is crisp and refreshing. This is by far o Connors best beer. Ask them to mix red nun with great dismal black ipa it's called a checkerboard, I also recommend this.

Drank this nice and cold in an Alewerks snifter.

Poured a nice red-copper (almost orange) color with about one finger worth of off-white foam that faded fast and left minimal lacing. Good amount of carbonation. Had a mild-to-strong malty (barley grain) smell through and through with a slight aroma of citrus sitting in the background. On taste; there was some sweetness and tart (citrus) up front that ultimately gives way to a more earthy malt taste.

Very good malty red ale; seems to fit more of an Irish red in spirit for me. If I had my druthers I’d ask for a little more hoppy bitterness in there.
