El Guapo has a translucent, burnt-orange appearance, with a thin, off-white head and a bit of lacing. The aroma is of rich, dark bread crust and a possible agave touch. The flavor is of white bread crust and noticeable and unusual bitterness. El Guapo has a medium body and a mostly-dry finish.

Nice IPA. Not overly hoppy or bitter. Has a really nice left side of the tounge taste. I had it on Draft. I would recommend it and drink it again.

Really nice and interesting. Quite toasty. Bitter but not overly hoppy in the flavor expression.
There’s a woodiness that comes across which I associate with agave, but it’s definitely not overpowering.

Pours a hazy golden color with an orange hue. Nice pillowy head with good retention. Soapy lacing left on the glass. Noticeable yeast floaters.
The aroma is of a pleasant floral hop aroma. Light honey from the agave and grain from the malt.
The taste is of a noticeable nutty malt. Earthy honey sweetness from the agave. The hops seem to be earthy; more for bittering.
Moderate to full feel. Semi-soft carbonation gives this beer a silky feel. Great balance.
As an EIPA as stated, this is a good beer. I do believe this is a correct classification for the beer as it seems more malt driven. The hops only provide the needed bitterness to this beer. Extra points were given as an EIPA.

Smells like an IPA: hops and ferment. Not sure about the color, as it is hiding in the amber bottle. The head likes to linger like good suds should. Looks cloudy with floaters in it. Almost looks like a secondary fermentation floating around, but perhaps it is agave. Subtle sweetness after a normal hoppy IPA front side. Stopping at one but very drinkable and medium-bodied.

Brought to me in a gift mix-six pack when we hosted a dinner party last week. I can't find a date on the bottle, so hard to say how fresh it is. Pour is more amber than expected, so maybe some oxidation there. Nose reminds me a little of a throwback IPA from the mid-90s, with mild little pine and citrus, but not much going on. Taste is a little floral and has some of that pine. I sort of expected it to have some off flavors, but it doesn't. It just doesn't have a lot going for it either. Based on the name, I guess I was expecting it to be weird. Instead, it is just a little below average across-the-board.
