Absolutely awful. Way too boozy. So now I drank 22oz of this and my Friday is ruined. Never again.

POUR: Bomber bottle into a nonic pint. APPEARANCE: Golden amber in color with just a touch of haze. Minimal white head. The head does kick up upon the swirl. Minimal glass lacing. AROMA: Lots of malt on the initial sniff. Very subtle notes of juicy fruit in the area of guava...subtle. TASTE: Somewhat malt forward with a subdued hoppy character. Rye-like? AFTERTASTE: This is where the beer really shines. I pick up some interesting white grape and berry-like notes. these stay subtle and the malty character stays present throughout. NOTES: Hops used: Mosaic, Eldorado, Chinook. REVIEW/ RATING: Good/ 3 out of 5.

Look great out of a 22oz bomber and have had a few by breakside. Smells pretty rough, a little off. I think the bottle must have gone bad on the shelf but can’t seem to find a date, will update my review once I try it again. Great brewery, didn’t like it one bit

22oz bottle served in pint glass. Beer is dirty golden but still relatively clear, with thin white head. Sweet, fruity aroma suggests peach and apricot. Flavor is more assertive but continues with the fruit-forward juicy NWIPA theme, adding pineapple, booze, and an herbal / medicinal note. And assertive carbonation.
This is my third IPA from Breakside, and fits squarely between Wanderlust and their standard IPA in its deliciousness. It's a well balanced, relatively light drinking double IPA.

L: Poured from a bottle to a tulip glass. Had a dark orange color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus, light malt, and a little pine.
T: Tasted of some mild malt notes, a bit of pine, a good shot of citrus (orange, in particular), grapefruit, a fair amount of hops (not as much as I would have thought), and a bready quality. Very much a typical West Coast DIPA flavor, with a whole lot of fruit and hops. Very tasty.
F: A nice amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: For the most part, this is a solidly made, very easy to drink beer. Not groundbreaking, but drinkable nonetheless.
