22oz bottle at 41 F poured into a large mug. Code on the bottle is 4-29-14. I hope it's "bottled on."
Pours slightly hazy golden with a hearty, coarse head and strong retention. Aroma is powerful, detectable at arm's length on the first pour. Smells floral and fruity, grassy, juicy, nice.
Taste is honey, slight pine, some citrus zest. Floral again. Slow, medium bitterness. A bit on the sweet side, but a tasty beer.
Mouthfeel is medium, smooth. Overall, very nice. Smell is great.

22 oz bomber. Pours slightly hazy bright yellow with a big frothy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is lots of dank resiny piney hops.
The flavor is bready malt with some soft tropical fruit and a lot of brash dank resiny and slightly catty hops that pack a big bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, I remember liking this more on draft. It was a lot fruitier and not nearly as dank and resiny.

22oz bottle - this looks to be a pretty solid contender for the best new brew to arrive north of 49 of late.
This beer pours a slightly hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with two zaftig fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some dissipating cloud form lace around the glass as it lazily recedes.
It smells of fancy orange-like citrus flesh, some fresh pine resin and needle, um, 'greenness', semi-sweet grainy and lightly doughy pale malt, a touch of additional biscuity caramel sweetness, a sort of muddled, if still zingy tropical fruitiness, and more leafy, floral, and grassy hoppiness. The taste is grainy and crackery pale malt, orange and red grapefruit juice (with pulp, of course), wet pine forest floor astringencies, still kind of hard to pinpoint, but welcome all the same tropicals, and more second class earthy, leafy, and grassy hops.
The bubbles are nice and easy in their simply-rendered frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and more or less smooth, just a sense of that heretofore unheralded booziness choosing to play the debutante right about here. It finishes off-dry, the sturdy base malt holding tough against a melee of lingering fruity (domestic and exotic, alike), piney, and floral hop bitters.
Overall, a fairly stellar DIPA, the flavours mixing and matching, mingling, and all enjoying their part in the over 16-proof, hard hop cocktail of a beverage in which they are frolicking. Very good stuff, and I'm so glad to see that the progression from their 'standard' IPA was a relatively easy one!

22oz bottle served in pint glass. Beer is dirty golden but still relatively clear, with thin white head. Sweet, fruity aroma suggests peach and apricot. Flavor is more assertive but continues with the fruit-forward juicy NWIPA theme, adding pineapple, booze, and an herbal / medicinal note. And assertive carbonation.
This is my third IPA from Breakside, and fits squarely between Wanderlust and their standard IPA in its deliciousness. It's a well balanced, relatively light drinking double IPA.

Look: Opaque and golden. About an inch of fine bubbly head. Very little carbonation.
Smell:Interesting citrus, Light grapefruit followed by heavy passionfruit. Really piney. Smells like a hike through the forests of Oregon.
Taste: Super bright. Very citrus forward. The fruit is there but its not as big of a fruit bomb I was expecting after smelling it. A little biscuity but more like an over wet raw dough than the finished product. A little earthy/piney bitterness on the back end but nothing crazy. At 8.1% (in my opinion) its a little light for a Double but this one is complex and fruity enough to cover the ethanol really well.
Feel: Medium body. Alcohol does have a fun little gum numbing effect. Little oily.
Overall: Really good. I'd strongly consider this if its on tap. Also, cheep enough bomber that its worth giving a try. Thumbs up.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This pours a nice clear amber orange cross, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
Smells like very intense pine and grapefruit, with a small dose of bready malt.
8.1% ABV, what? That's not noticeable at all. It doesn't feel significantly hoppier than some of their single IPA selections, but it's still nice. There's a small amount of bready Pilsner malt present- it helps hold it all together. There's lot of classic grapefruit hops, a bit of orange, lots of bitter pine- prototypical WCIPA.
This is medium bodied, very crisp, especially considering the ABV.
Though this isn't quite as good as the other Breakside IPAs so far- it's still fun as hell. Love it.

Totally enjoying this rando grab - not a beer that sets itself apart from the pack in any way, rather a really nice entry to the style. More toward the lean side of the DIPA spectrum, but with a solid body. Has a clean but juicy character, more citrus than pine, ample sweetness, moderate carbonation, subtle bitterness. Finishes well, leaving a nice aftertaste...
