Accessible location, but a bit small for the crowd who descended upon it. Luckily, i got in early to secure a seat at the bar. Taplist is about average, although I happened upon a release of their imperial stout and its variants. TVs for sports, but it is small. Worth seeking out.

Stopped in at their Milwaukie tap room for a quick pour. Definitely a popular spot, but was able to find a seat and service was quick. Really solid selection on the board with lots of variety. Been a fan since they started distributing in my area and wasn't disappointed by what I got. My only complaint is that when I was there they were blasting music pretty loud, and I like my music loud. But, there were 2 big lovey golden retrievers hanging out with their owners so that totally took my mind off of it. I'd love to go back and spend some time exploring more of their offerings.

Very friendly hostesses sat us immediately, and some one gave us just the right amount of time before ordering some samples, then ultimately our beers. A Stay West IPA and a Chunky Monkey BA Stout for the Mrs. and I to share. Both were outstanding.
Split the fish and chips which was good, but ultimately we came here for the beers and the vibe and they were both outstanding. Can't wait to go to Dekum down the street from my house next! Cheers.

15th stop on the 2017 West Coast Beer Tour (Oct 11). 22nd & Raleigh location. Looks almost brand new.
High ceilings, smallish late lunch crowd on a Wednesday. Industrial but nice decor. Doesn't seem to be dog friendly. A dozen or so Breakside beers on tap, half of which are made in house here. Small food menu, I had the bratwurst sandwich. Beers are $6-7/pint or six 5oz samplers for $12. Merch & beer to go. Decent service.

One of Portland's newer additions to their substantial beer scene, Breakside has three locations; this one on Dekum, is an open and rather atmospheric venue with a sleek wooden bar and a nice patio, where patrons can admire the quiet neighborhood. Breakside Dekum offers a large array of taps - and bombers to go (I took home two.) During my lunchtime visit, I enjoyed a pint of Lunchbreak Session, a tasty IPA and their hearty stout. Though somewhat out of the way, it is accessible by Portland's wonderful bus system - in this case, Bus 75. Excellent. Hope to try the other two locations in a subsequent trip (or two.)

Portland, OR has many breweries within the city limits. Of those which have a place to enjoy a pint, I have been to thirty-nine of them. Without a doubt Breakside is the best. From the beers ( all delicious, many the best of their style in town), to the food, to the vibe, they have no equal. If you live here, or are just visiting, you must come here.
