"Best by APR 2014" printed on bottle.

This one needs a slightly aggressive pour. I got a little more aggressive as I was pouring and still only got a half finger of off-white head. The body is a caramel-ish orange tone. The head went down to a ring and a dusting rather quickly, and it tried to lace, which slowly slid back down into the beer.

Caramel and a little grain start off the nose, but are quickly taken over by excellent light tropical hoppiness. A little pine, a little resin, a light floral note mix with mandarin orange and light mango.

Pine up front mixes with a crusty bread flavor. The pine continues into a floral flavor with a little orange peel. Taste seems a little different than the nose in this manner. A little mandarin orange is noticed as a compliment when searching through the taste.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied. The carbonation is light and pleasant. It leaves a little residue near the back of the tongue and finishes quite dry.

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #76 (May 2013):

A good IPA, boasts 103.1 IBUs ... pretty insane and tongue scraping from sip to sip. A true hophead’s brew that perhaps is looking for a bit of pain as it slowly tries to wreck the palate.

Just opened one of these.
Drinking straight from the bottle.
ABV says 7.1%

Smell is very pungent, the chinook hops are very extreme and citrusy.

First sip is extremely overwhelming.
The bitterness might be too much on this one.

As the bottle warmed up, the floral aroma grew on me.

By the last sip this beer was much more pleasant.

If you like a really hoppy beer, this one will surprise you.

Very bitter, but worth it.
