bottled on 2/14/15, probably an old bottle. One of the most bitter beers I've ever had.

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #76 (May 2013):
180 IBUs? Seriously ... LOL. We love the passion and of course the effort, but these beers are crazy. Yes, we know the threshold on most palates is around 80 IBUs but pushing the envelope is fun, right? Thankfully, we are not sampling hot sauces right now. A palate destroyer and all the fun that comes along with that, this is not for the faint of palate.
STYLE: American Imperial IPA
ABV: 9.0%
AVAILABILITY: Year-round
LOOK: Cloudy amber, tiny-bubbled lacing
SMELL: Caramel, dominating hop resin, ripe peaches, grapefruit, clementines, oranges, hemp, estery alcohol
TASTE: Creamy smooth, smacks of caramel, decimating hop bitterness, ripe nectarines, dried grass, insanely bitter, very warming alcohol, intense citrus rind, puckering hoppiness, dry finish

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
