Hazy goldenrod color. Thin head that settled pretty fast. 3.0

Smells a little sweet. Notes of grape must, garden flowers, saison yeast, and some lemon. 3.5

Very yeasty and tuned-up in strength. Floral quality notches up with notes of coriander, alcohol, and orange zest. 3.5

Not so refreshing. Too boozy. The body is medium. Carb is right there to match. 2.5

Too much noticeable alcohol. Flavor is decent. Sums up as nothing special. 3.5

Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale
ABV: 6.00 %

Pours a bright golden color. Soapy white head forms leaving plenty of lace. Aroma of lavender, floral, a bit piney, some honey, pepper, Belgian yeast. In the flavor, a bit more of the flowery aspect, a substantial bitterness, and earthy all and all. The malt sweetness has enough to balance the beer, a bit of peppery spice and then bitter in the finish. Medium bodied feel with a drying carbonation. Overall, this is a decent experiment, but some tartness would go a long way here.

First had: on tap at City Tap House, Philly, PA

Served in a nondescript shaker, a cloudy amber color with a tiny bit of a pinkish hue to it, and a thin cap of white head that dissipated almost completely within a few minutes. Aroma was fairly sweet and flowery, notes of caramel and musty grass. The taste reflected the aroma, sweet pale malts, wet grass, flowery (makes sense), with some spicy Belgian yeast. Medium mouthfeel, pretty easily drinkable. I'd have to be in the mood to drink this again, but it was a solid saison.
