A very busy establishment, on an August night. Good amount of seating, inside and out back. Good wooden decor and darkly lit room, make for a good ambiance. The bartender described the food and beer selections well. The menu for supper is fairly varied and the dishes are made of fresh ingredients and are definitely good. Was on a coast to coast beer tasting trip and this was the first stop in Vermont, and they have several of the vaunted Vermont beers on tap and in tall cans. Hill Farmstead, The Alchemist & Lawson's Finest Liquids anyone?!

What I had: Over the course of two visits - Green Flash Saison Diego, Lagunitas New DogTown Pale Ale, Trapp Family Lodge Dunkles Lager, Prairie Artisan Ales Funky Galaxy Black Saison, and Harpoon Buck Double IPA on tap, House Made Bratwurst, Western North Carolina-style Pulled Pork, Roasted Fennel, S’more Dessert, and multiple glasses of L’Ange d’Oc Sauvignon Blanc for my significant other.
What I liked: Invitingly warm, open, and vibrant atmosphere, ample space and privacy at our booth (first dinner), delectable food at fair prices, diverse and interesting draft list, quick service, waiters made excellent recommendations.
What I disliked: Second time we came we had to endure a painfully snobby hipster couple sitting next us, but they left about halfway through our meal and things returned to normal after that.
Would I go back? Yes. Farmhouse is an outstanding beer-focused restaurant that I would happily frequent again. Great spot all around.

Went because of their beer reputation not expecting a more restaurant oriented place. Soon experienced a great farm and sea to table “foodie” joint that reveres great beer as well as great food. Terroir is the order of the day/apparently every day. Excellent selections of local meats; cheeses and vegetables matched with NE region fresh water and sea based fish and other seafood. All prepared in classic styles and innovative new preparations.
Ok the beer... on that night 18 taps (12 Vermont) for beer; 2 local ciders and 4 for locally created sodas, ginger beer and fruit and herb infused Kombucha. Then 6 more taps for rare/reserved beers from around the world. All available in 6 oz pours as well as in various full pours per beer ranging from 10-16oz.
Wow? WOW.
I got there late and sat at bar and bar team were friendly but too busy bringing the kitchen and serving areas down for the night. So probably not quite as attentive as what might normally be the case.
The overall vibe was relaxed ; friendly and pleasant. Spoke briefly with Richard from other end of bar. Nice guy.
Will hope to stop back some time.

Went to the Farmhouse twice on my last trip to Burlington. Once we ate upstairs in the main restaurant and enjoyed that. I was impressed with the food, especially the onion rings, they were killer. The beer was fantastic and the service was great. The second night we went there, we went to the basement bar and it was just as good as the restaurant. The beer list seemed better the second time we went there, but it was always great. The staff in the basement was friendly and liked to chat when they had a moment, which is quite nice.
All in all, this is a classy and great joint that you should try to visit if you go to Burlington. I know I will go back the next time I visit.

This is a must stop place of worship for beer. I was there a few times and the selection is wonderful, service is helpful and sincere, and the food was delicious. I mean $5 for Focal banger...regular price is $4...what a steal! Don’t think, just go.

Nice relaxing atmosphere, beer selection was great, lots of quality stuff. Still the best thing about this place was the food, one of the best dinners I had on my US trip. Also was nice to end the meal with a fresh can of Heady Topper, though that seems to be quite easy to do in this part of Vermont.

One of the better places in Burlington, beer and food indexed together, and best place for beer alone. Outstanding tap list, very good service, very solid locally sourced food- but also very pricey- it''s easy to spend $20 on a burger here. Also, the place sorta has the vibe of an upscale fern bar- definitely either sit in the beer garden or at the bar. Good selection of local Vermont beers combined with a judicious selection of out of state brews.

Pretty happening little place located on Bank Street. Their taplist is exceptional as they keep a fantastic lineup of Vermont ales and lagers and then their New England list is just as good. I was here late Summer of 2016 when they had a Maine tap take over so seeing Foundation, Austin Street, Bissell Brothers, and Oxbow in larger amounts was a super nice surprise. Exceptional service, always clean and stellar food. Please give this place a shot.

Easiest the best beer offering I have ever come across. Featuring the finest of Vermont, this place is to craft beer what the Vatican is to Catholicism. A must stop wh4n traveling anywhere near Burlington, VT.

The Farmhouse was one of the main reasons for me going to Burlington, and rightly so.
Busy place, even pretty early on a Wednesday night. Nice mix of longer tables and small, two-person deals.
The taplist was, as expected, crazy. A bunch of Hill Farmstead, which I believe they always have, and a good mix of styles and places. I was very happy to see two Frost beers, Junior and Lush, up there, so I had them both.
Service was quick and friendly, despite the amount of people dining. The food was also terrific, had the burger, and the beef was incredible. You can tell it's local.
It's obvious why this place is rated so highly, not only among beer people. If I lived in Burlington, I would be here all the time!

Cool restaurant in downtown Burlington, right near the Church Street Marketplace. Expansive draft list of many different beers, great menu, and a neat outdoor patio with a small bar. This place pretty much has it all.
Beers are great and the food is just as awesome. Service was intermittent, but overall good. Was a bit pricey, but what do you expect for the location and fare.
I got some Hill Farmstead beers, Shelburne vineyard wine, raw oysters, and this grilled bratwurst that was great. I would recommend this place any day.
