A: Dark pour, with a dark ruby, amber, and cloudy color when held up to the light. Finger width head quickly goes away

S: Sweet smell, with coffee and chocolate the most obvious.

T: Sweet, caramel taste. Not as sweet as the smell, and there's a toast flavor there as well. A little bit of bitterness lingers after the swallow.

M: Pretty crisp feel, medium-bodied, and not heavy at all.

D: A very good taste, the clean feel, and a ABV that's not too high makes for a solid, delicious brown ale. Another good beer from this great brewery.

It poured a beautiful brown, slightly hazy, with a thich rich head that settled slowly and left walls of lace.

The aromas were fresh toast, roasted nuts, and cocoa with some grassy notes.

The taste follows the nose with toast, nuts, and chocolate. Nice earthy finish balances things out. Simple, but nice.

Smooth, and creamy.

Great brown ale for anytime.

First had: on tap at their brewpub

A nice brown ale. Poured a clear chestnut color with amber highlights, and a nice white head that dissipated after a minute or two. Sweet aroma, caramel malts, semi-sweet chocolate, and hints of light fruit. Sweet taste as well, nutty, toasty malts, caramel, tones of chocolate. Medium mouthfeel, smooth, and rather tasty, even for one such as I... I'm finding more and more brown ales that I like, though like this one, they live too far away from me.

On a recent trip to Fort Collins with friends, we had the opportunity to try this one on tap at the brewery. Poured a reddish-brown color with a light brown head. Aromas of nuts, chocolate and light coffee. On the palate, this one was medium bodied, with flavors of milk chocolate and toasted nuts.

From notes

On tap at the source to continue a Ft. Collins day o' drinkin'. Pours brown with reddish hues and a tan froth. Smells of roasted malt and nuts. Tastes toasty and even slightly spicy with a sheet of caramel. Pure and simple and hitting the spot.

Pours a clear chocolate brown with an off white head. Aroma is nutty, caramel, chocolate, and roastiness. Flavor starts off sweet with some caramel and nuttiness, then comes in some nice deep roastiness and chocolatey-ness. A medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, a really enjoyable brown ale. Would drink again.
