Pours a med-large frothy slight pillowy head with moderate retention, little lacing very hazy golden color with tons of floaties, would have been a great appearance if not for the floaties

Nose brings light grainy malt, crackers, some lime juice, little zest

Taste more grainy cracker malt with a soft fruity lager character, a bit of salt as well, with fair amount of lime juice and a little zest, little creamy corn character, finishes with a bit more lime and corn lager notes

Mouth is lighter bod, med-lighter carb

Overall not bad, a decent summer drink, not quite a "Mexican Lager" style but def get the perception of a well crafter corona with a lime in it.

Medium carbonation with about an average body.
Aroma is malt, grain,sweet cracker,lime,citrus
Taste is fairly identical to aroma with grain, malt, sweet cracker all showing up and lime was obvious throughout
Decent body, easy to get down, enough going to keep my interest. I found it an enjoyable safe bet, went well with food

It looks like beer. Smells like beer. The taste is Okay. I get a hint of the salt and lime. It’s fairly light and too easy to drink as these could be chugged. Overall it’s a fair brew for hot Texas days.

A bomber at a Salt Lake City Mexican restaurant. Recommended by the server, it was cold, refreshing, Light without watery thinness. I’m writing from memory but I recall lime and salt, no bitterness. Nice.

Picked-up a single can as part of a mixed six-pack at Kappy's in Norwell for about eleven dollars. Canned-on date of 10/18. Pretty sure that I have had brews from this brewery before, but neglected to review. Ay caramba, why did I pick this? A chore to finish, never again.

Pours a mildly hazy medium yellow with moderate head resolving to thin lacing.
Smell is grainy malt and corn.
Very heavy lime taste up front. A bit too much. Very tart.

12 oz can. Pours hazy dull yellow with a small fizzy white head that goes to a thin film that leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet wheat malts with salty lime.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with lots of lime and a touch of salt in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, a nice summer beer - I like the lime and salt on the malt base.

A 12 fl. oz. can with no canned on or best before date. The only thing I see is on the bottom of the can “5507, up in smoke”. Poured into an Epic pint glass.

Appearance: A very lightly hazy, golden straw pale yellow colour with a just less than one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving only sparse lacing.

Aroma: Sweet malt, corn and a dash of lime.

Taste: Lightly tart, sweet malts, lime, corn and a hint of salt.

Mouthfeel: Crisp, light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: Light and easy to drink. Another good hot summer thirst quencher.

I'm trying this at Pizza & Noodles in Springdale, UT....just outside Zion National Park. It poured a slighly hazy yellow with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had faint hints of lemon. The taste was very lemony and easy to drink...standard Mexican lager. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a bit too much lemon.

Bottle. Clear straw yellow.

Basic, easy drinking lager. The salt and lime show a lot. Makes it super refreshing and easy drinking. Light bodied. Crisp and clean.

Some friends usually serve Corona at summer bashes, squeeze a couple slices of lime into a can and I can choke'em down like every one else. Los Locos was actually pretty darn good, crisp, refreshing and drinkable right from the can. Maybe I'll bring some to the next summer bash.

Deep yellow in color with a murky, heavy haze. Poured with a short, soapy, bright white foam with low retention. Medium malt aromas with light cereal and lime notes. Medium light bodied with medium carbonation and a crisp, clean finish. Malty and tart lime flavors with a tart, slightly acidic bitterness through the middle. Malt, lime and salty flavors on the back end. Finished clean and crisp with light salty lime notes. Crisp, refreshing, and lightly tart. Very refreshing and drinkable on a hot summer day.

I usually avoid Mexican lagers, but gave this a try. It's a bit sweet, but really drinkable. I am glad I bought it and would try it again. Poured from a 12 oz can straight into my mouth and it worked out great.

Slightly hazy, pale yellow and fizzy. Smells of orange, lemon zest and lime. Super light in body with touches of lime, grain and salt. Might be the most "drinkable" beer I've ever tried (for whatever that's worth), and I really can't find (or don't care to find) much to fault here.

L: Hazy pale straw color. Very little head that quickly dissolves.

S: Light malty aromas with citrusy lime.

T: Sweet lime, corn, light malt, some salt as well.

F: Clean, crisp, slightly acidic.

O: Good for what it is, definitely a summer beer. It was a lot better drinking them in the hot sun while I was in the pool than it is now sitting at my computer. I'm pretty sure that is what they were going for though.

Poured from a can into an American style pint.
Look: Looks more like a wheat beer than a corn lager.
Smell: Lime - otherwise Not remarkable
Taste: Why does Epic even WANT to make a beer that tastes like this? The lime is reminiscent of cheaper, limey beers - the salt is very UN-beerlike. Don't need it AT ALL if a decent pilsner is around.
Feel: Unremarkable (lager)
Overall, I will NOT dump it, but will never drink this again.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

Look: Ugly dark straw yellow body with a head that dissipates so fast that I didn't see what color it was. No lacing.

Aroma: Delightful spry lime aroma dominates with a distinct sea salt coating.

Taste: There is a solid malt base with a touch of sweetness which allows the lime citrus to breathe, with a finish that is very much salty. The aftertaste is tangy.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, dry, carbonated.

Overall: I really like it. I hate it when craft brewers make this style of beer and ruin it by overhopping. We get it, stop ruining styles with hops. Epic nailed this by making it taste and feel like craft while keeping the pedestrian, Mexican adjunct lager ideals.

Epic Brewing Co. "Los Locos Mexican-style Lager"
12 fl. oz. can, production coded but without freshness dating
$2 @ Giant, Havertown, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: Nice label. Hazy straw gold body beneath a short head of bright white. The aroma is like lime in beer... yep, the label reads "lager with lime and sea salt added". So this is a Corona knock-off with the lime already added? Well, the taste kind of backs that up. This is much more lime-like, and you can taste the salt. The head has died at this point and only spotty lacing is left behind. I'm not sure what to think of this. I might even like the Corona with lime better, it's hard to tell without having one in front of me. This is balanced though, and it is refreshing. It finishes dry with some residual acidity and salt. Light medium in body and gently crisp. Ehh, maybe I'm coming around to it. At the very least it's a great lawnmower beer.

Short Review. This is a good Mexican style Lager, it has just enough tartness to make it very refreshing and the lime flavors works well with it with just a slight salty flavor. I thought it was very refreshing and it's just what I would expect from the style. I would get this beer again when I want a nice refreshing Mexican style Lager.

L: hazy straw filled with streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 3" frothy white cap with moderate retention.

S: The aromas combine spice from the hops with lime and a hint of corn.

T: Light corn sweetness leads the flavors along with lime and a dash of salt. The lime provides a little sour in the aftertaste.

F: The body is light and the carbonation is above average providing a little tickle on the tongue.

O: The balance between the light corn sweetness and the lime keep it from being just another fizzy yellow beer.
