Notes / Commercial Description:
Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everything—a real HOP HEADS DELIGHT!

Poured on tap into snifter.
A: Pours a clear orange...takes a bit to clear after pouring which is nice. 1 inch thick foamy head with impressive persistence and lingering lacing.
S: Nice strong citrus hop aromas of orange, tangerine, and sweet grapefruit with hints of mango and pine. Hint of sweet caramel malt too.
T: Soft orange, mango, tangerine, and pine with a softly sweet caramel malt backbone.
M: Soft and creamy feel. Sweet citrus and (milder) caramel malt. Some lingering hop bitterness in the finish.
D: Very nice hoppy IPA with excellent balance and feel. Nicely sessionable with good hop complexity. Give it a go!

My first time having this IPA was in Las Vegas at the yard house. The bar actually hooked it up to a nitro tap and I fell in love. I had this nitro version right after a 90 minute and actually preferred this. A few month later I had Business trip to salt lake and visited epic brewery only to find out that this IPA is actually not a nitro. I was a bit disappointed, but it is still a fantastic carbonated IPA. One of my favorites. Highly recommended.

(release 156)
A truly pale ale, small amount of head
Smells like spicy hops and alcohol
Taste is of bitter hops and spicy hops balanced with a definitive alcohol twang (this batch is 10%)
Overall as a hop head I recommend this beer highly

Brassy in color with a bubbly tan froth.

Big grapefruit, other fruit peel and some herb aroma-wise.

Tastes of more grapefruit and orange zest (fruit>bitterness) with piney hops opening up toward the finish.

Light to medium in body with little alcohol noticed.

Thoroughly enjoying all the Epic beers I can get my hands on while road-tripping Utah. Also realizing how truly desolate a beer wasteland the state would be without its local brews.

On-tap 3/18/2017 at Battleship Brewhouse in Fall River, MA, served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large dense off-white head that fades very slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is faint but contains caramelized malts, some hops and some citrus.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel and citrus. Then a hearty malt character breadiness comes in. The hops presence is mild for the style but provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down ok, slightly filling, strong kick, decent representation of style, this is a decent 2IPA to drink for a while.
