Notes / Commercial Description:
Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everything—a real HOP HEADS DELIGHT!

Served on nitro tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer is served a golden orange color with a one finger head of nitro driven foam. The head has a fantastic level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of an herb and grassy hop smell along with some aromas of citrus and bread. Mixed in with these aromas comes a little bit of grain and yeast, producing a rather inviting aroma overall.

Taste – The taste begins with a rather nice smooth bready and slightly doughy flavor mixed with notes of an earthy hop and a bit of herb. As the taste advances the earth and herb grow slightly stronger and then maintain a presence to the end of the taste. Along with these hops comes some lighter citrus hop flavors of a citrus nature as well as some tropical fruit sweetness. With a little bit of grain and some yeast coming at the very end, one is left with a rather nice and smooth bready and hopped taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body is creamy and thick due to the nitro pour of the brew. For the malty tastes the feel was rather nice with the creaminess actually accentuating nicely the mix of hops and malt that are present in the brew.

Overall –This was a rather tasty IPA overall. I had a nice feel, hop profile and malt bill. I enjoyed this one overall. I have to search this one out on non-nitro to see what it is like with normal carbo.

Orange pour with almost an inch of white head. Aroma was just kind of c hop, non aroma hops.

Taste was a lot of bitterness, grapefruit and barely there pine. Chewy crystal malt, everyone's had it. Pass it around. Alcohol pronounced. Too expensive in bomber format.

Looks pretty hazy and orange with a small white head. Hoppy on the nose, tropical fruits, and maybe a bit of caramel??. Nice carbonation. Good mouthfeel and is easy to drink.

#130, poured into a wide mouth goblet. Nice big foamy white head that has lacey frothy bubbles of carbonation. The bright golden, hazy hue is a beautiful color, I would liken it to a bright sunny day! The aroma is earthy and grassy. The taste is bold and spicy. The body seems to have a good amount of sugars still dancing around. This is an unfiltered DIPA.

Release # 123. According to their website, this was packed on 4/13/15

Appearance - Pours hazy and orange in color with an off-white, rocky 2 finger width head. Good retention. Good retention, resulting in a thin, consistent layer of surface suds. Lacing is strong, displaying broken sheets and streaks with a few spots here and there.

Smell - Floral hop aroma. Faint caramel.

Taste - Follows the nose. Floral character with a touch of spice and a mild caramel backbone.

Mouthfeel - Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Slick, velvety texture makes this a very nice drinker.

Overall - They put a release # on their bottle but not a freshness date? Frustrating. Had I known this was 8 months old I'd have passed, but I'm not about to jump on their website whilst at the store to find out when it was brewed. It's still decent as is, but... grr! I'd love to try it fresh, because I'm sure it's better than what I'm drinking now.
