Notes: We took our double gold medal winning Brainless Belgian, added organic peach puree and aged it in French Chardonnay casks from Sawtooth Winery. Drink from a Pinot glass, serve on the warm side of cold, it develops nicely as it warms displaying more fruit and wine.

I thought this was pretty good.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

Sometimes there is a lot of retention off the pour, other times not. Regardless, Brainless on Peaches pulls a white good sized head that even clumps with some good retention, other times not so much and disappears fast. It sits on a slightly orange/yellow body with some cloudiness.

Nose is primarily sweet Belgian like sugars and malt backbone. However, peach fruit does follow later in a mild way.

Taste is sweet then sharp, but then subdues after much drinking. Pureed peaches and fruit juicy texture abound settling in on a powdered sugar background. Minimal alcohol presence for a high abv which is a nice touch as well. Some slight bitter lingering lime in the afterfinish also. Some sort of Belgian like malts and sugars seem to come out.

Overall, pretty brainless, and an apt description. Works for me! Very masked abv for what it is, not a booze bomb, rather enjoyable, they done well.

A: Pours a deep golden orange hue, slightly hazy, with a thin white head that fades quickly into a faint collar. Subtle spotty lacing, no legs.
S: Prominence of Chardonnay with underlying stone fruits and slightly peppery yeast characters.
T: Candi sugar and oak up front, lots of white wine character, subtle peach flavors with vanilla, followed by a hint of white pepper/bread/toast. Semi-sweet to start with a dry and slightly boozy finish. Minimal funk, no real tartness to speak of.
M: Soft and slightly creamy mouth feel, carbonation starts heavy but mellows considerably very quickly.
O: Pretty much what I expected, very tasty, has some depth to it but nothing really shines or stands out. They've done an excellent job making a very drinkable fruited Belgian strong golden ale.

Served in a tulip straight from the cellar. Highly-effervescent and thick-looking liquid gold color with a fat finger of sudsy white head that's quick to dissipate. Subtle aroma of grass, peach skins and Belgian yeast. Fairly thick-bodied with a syrupy, prickly mouthfeel. The subtle peach notes mix with the Belgian yeast up front in the taste, followed by strong white pepper that lingers into the aftertaste and leaves a bit of heat behind. There's a certain tartness to it, too, the leaves my mouth puckering a bit; certainly not as much as a sour, but it's there. The peach flavors here are just about right, but, overall, this is a touch too thick for my taste, and the pepper seems heavy handed.

Pours a hazy golden color with a white head and plenty of lace. Aroma of Belgian yeast and some chardonnay notes. Flavor follows the nose with some peach flavors along with Belgian yeast and wine notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied and smooth, pretty nice. Overall, its a decent Belgian ale aged on peaches, though the sum may not equal all the parts. It is a strong beer though, and that has to be respected. This beer is best in small doses.

Poured into taster (4 oz) at Belmont Station:

Pours hazy Belgian hue with decent lace.

Really smells of peaches with some yeast and spice notes. Pretty simple and to the point. Palate confirms but is lightly flavored by the peach. Almost disappointing.

Average texture and good grip, short finish.

Overall a nice idea, but falls short on several fronts.

22oz bottle into my Allagash glass. Hazy and golden yellow in color with a thin white head barely covering the top of the beer.

The aroma shows a lot of the tart peaches to it. I get some sweeter, candi sugar like notes to it as well as a moderate Belgian yeast spice as well. The peach is a little strong, almost like a can of peaches.

The taste starts off with some more of the fruity and sweet peach flavor. Midway i start to get some tart sourness mixing with a Belgian yeast spice. The finish brings all of the flavors together pretty well.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied with carbonation being high. Overall it was an interesting beer, but nothing outstanding. The peaches were a little dominating and one dimensional in the aroma for me. I liked the tart, sourness that started to come out in the taste and would have liked even more of it. Flavorful and decent beer but not something I'd buy again at the price.

Matched well with the roasted anaheim peppers in the marinade that we used for our pork chops. Great Belgian style ale with a hint of peach in the middle and extra character from its aging on the end. 11.5% alcohol.

Pours clear, gold in color with minimal head and high carbonation. Taste is banana, clove, grass, with peaches and white wine on the finish. Sugary sweetness shows as it warms. High carbonation, slightly sweet, dry, with light body. Tastes like a wine/saison mix. Definitely better as it warms. Could have a couple.
