Pretty good IPA. Resembles Hop Stoopid. Another favorite of mine. Smoother than some other IPA's. Doesn't have the bite of Ruination. However Ruination is my favorite by the way. I will definitely be getting this again...very soon.

This beats all 80 of the previous beers I have rated on this site. Almost perfectly balanced hops, yeast and Malts. A real pleasure and sad to know that it is not available year round. I found this bomber at Whole Foods in Seattle and hope I can find some more before Seattle runs out!

Really enjoyed this IPA. It wasn't super hoppy like alot of other IPAS with a smooth after taste. The perfect hot day IPA.
Would highly recommend this. If I remember correctly, Total Wine had plenty left of the shelves.
Excited to try some other styles from Epic.

22 oz bottle poured into an Epic tulip.
6.7% ABV, Release #11

A - Partially hazed, this beer is neither see-through nor completely cloudy; more of a milky goldenrod color. Wispy lace tumbles down into the ring of loose, Swiss-cheese-like bubbles left after the off-white head disappeared.

S - Brainless IPA has a fruity aroma of American hops, blending mango, honeydew melon, and pineapple into a fruity puree that's overshadowed by the vibrant and citrusy, spicy Belgian yeast. Lemongrass spice meets lemon oil with moist gobs of white clay rolled in fresh clove.

T - Chunky orange marmalade spread over toasted English muffin leads the way into the citrus-and-spice combination offered by the aroma as lemongrass and lemon oil overtake the hop-infused fruity blend that finishes out on the tongue.

M - Very nicely carbonated, Brainless IPA is prickly but smooth, starting with a jam-like sweetness that thoughtfully transitions to dry yeast spice and finishes with an even drier hop bitterness.

O - Contrary to it's name, Brainless IPA is quite thought-out indeed, showcasing Belgian yeast first and foremost making this American brew a Belgian-style beer first and an IPA second but the combination is a fantastic one! Fruity and spicy yeast esters meld wonderfully with the hops' juicy fruitiness for a match made in heaven!

From notes.

A majestic and rocky dirty white froth tops off this reddish-orange brew. Aroma-wise resin floats around calm notes of apricot and caramel. Tastes of pine, various fruits and grain. Very fluid drinking with a lighter than expected body. Balanced and delicious.

Nose is resiny, piney, hops very clear with some fruit. Pours translucent ambery gold with a tight head that doesn't linger and begins to lace. Taste is malt forward slightly bready, and then the pine and the citrus come in. Smooth and bitter finish. This is definitely a cross between a Belgian and an IPA which for me kinda marks it as an IDEAL spring/summer beer. One of my favorites for sure.

Really enjoyed this one. Smells of a triple but with a little more resin/pine. The perfect amount of bitterness with the taste of a classic Belgian pale. Fruity banana hint with a light bread finish. High marks for this one from a outed Epic fan boy.
