A prominent to intense hop aroma with a citrusy, floral and/or fruity character derived from American hops. Color ranges from medium gold to medium reddish copper. Medium-high to very high hop bitterness, although the malt backbone will support the strong hop character and provide the best balance. A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong india pale ale.

The appearance was a nice looking red/copper color with a fairly decent half fingered white foamy head that ends up dieing within less than a minute. The lacing actually left a little bit to be desired. The smell made up for the lack of lacing as there was a super nice involvement of pine to citrus to earthy bittered hops. Whoah, damn, boy did this smell nice, holy moley. The sweet malts do end up coming in just a tad as it warms. The taste was fairly sweet through a combination of the malts and hops. On the palate, this one sat at/about a light to medium with a fairly decent sessionable aspect to it. The carbonation tried to portray a certain harshness, but seemed actually sitting right on queue. Overall, worthy AIPA of having again with its respected food.

Argus Pegasus IPA has a medium, off-white head, a brilliant, orange appearance, lots of powdery sediment, throughout, moderate lacing, and no noticed bubbles. The aroma is of apricot or mango, white bread crust, and some other dank note. Taste is of those elements, with a dough aspect, earthy qualities, and a moderate, straight-forward hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Pegusus IPA finishes on the dry side.

A: Pours a relatively clear brassy amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint honey colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy foamy beige head that reduces to a large patch of mottled thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring of medium sized bubbles along the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel malts with a light amount of sweetness and light to moderate aromas of citrus/orange rind and floral hops.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of biscuit and caramel malts with a light amount of honey-like sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of citrus/orange rind and floral hops which contribute a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Hints of dryness in the finish.
O: Kind of a pedestrian American IPA offering - nothing offensive or bad about this beer but just not that exciting. Hop flavors and aromas are slightly more subdued than I prefer. Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol.
