A thanks to the amazing woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with orange highlights and a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste is tropical fruits, cool mints, dankness, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Well, all right! Things are FINALLY back on track WRT my deep-dive into Barrier Brewing Co.! I had initially planned to really get at their many CANlaborations in my backlog for The CANQuest (tm), only to get bogged down at the outset due to many NOT having an approved pic in place. 8=( One The CANQuest's (tm) main tenets is to NOT Crack! open a CAN without an approved pic in place. Hey, I am capable & happy to do it, but I felt like I was blindsided by the sheer number (& thanks to the Admin team for all of the speedy approvals). Onward!
From the CAN: "India Pale Ale"; "Brewed with Our Friends Finback".
I was CANxious to get things started, so I Crack!ed open the vent, revealing a brimful craft CAN! Ooh. I started a slow, gentle C-Line Glug, but when clarity proved futile, I allowed it to free-run into the awaiting glass. I netted just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head for my efforts & it returned the favor by hanging around with great perseverance until it finally fell, leaving massive lacing in its wake. Color was a hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose smelled redolent with tropical fruit & my curiosity was aroused. Hmm. Mouthfeel was big, full, soft & creamy, like a dollop had been scooped into my mouth & onto my tongue. I let it simply roll around, playfully, allowing it to open up to reveal a mostly tropical fruit AIPA with hints of pine & eucalyptus as its CANterpart. Mmm. I keep saying that at some point, the Southern Hemisphere hops beCAN to leave me cold, but when they beCAN commingling them with PNW hops (among others), I perked back up. This had that effect on me. It was not bitter, per se, but the cool mintiness took the edge off of the fruity sweetness. Mmm. Finish beCAN to evince a citrusy bitterness, but not enough to disrupt the party, already in progress. Now, I am really CANurious to drink Version 2.0. YMMV.

This pours a nice light yellow haze with nice full body white foam & mild lacing.
The aroma is a symphony of tropical & citrus fruitiness that totally pleases the old factory with its complexity.
As for the taste it is also very pleasant, but does lack the body that the nose leads you to expect it to taste like. Don't get me wrong it is still a very flavorful drink...just not all the nose puts out.
As for feel it has a nice snap to it and a slight dry finish.
All in all this is a really nice beer, and a must try.

Pours a straw color with slightly more than a finger of head. The nose and flavor have melony notes upfront and citrus notes on the back end. The finish is fairly mild.

Radiant golden yellow with a billowing three finger off white head. Leaves sparse lacing.
Aroma of over ripe guava, orange flower, white pepper, mango and spicy apricot skins. Hints of sweet banana bread and even apple strudel.
Upfront there are very gentle creamy, spicy and somewhat floral flavors of peppery hop resin. The 7.8% abv is the next thing I notice, as a clean alcoholic bite paves the way for flavors of coconut cream and orange marmalade. It ends on lots of bitter grapefruit rind, savory mango and pineapple.
Mouthfeel is supple and filling while still being sessionable and thirst quenching.
Spot on for the style in my opinion.

Pours a semi clear yellow with fluffy, thick foam.
Smell is peachy with ntes of pine, melon, apricot juice and some sweetness.
Taste is fresh and citrusy with notes of peaches, pine, grapefruit and melon. Moderate bitterness and lingering finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice IPA, balanced and tasty.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed golden pour with thick foamy white head. Great lacing.
S: Grapefruit... citrus and tropical fruit. Pretty standard NEIPA.
T/F: Follows the nose. Light grain bill with juicy citrus forward hops. Grapefruit and citrus rind. Pineapple... floral notes with herbs and a bit of spice. Modest bitterness... sticky/oily on the tongue.
O: A solid NEIPA. Good flavor... more herbal than expected. Worth a visit.

CAN
Hazy platinum; lemon zest, with specks of herb + pineapple; Wheat Thins, more pineapple, sticky ganga mid-palate, some peach and a tart linger.

Dry Hopped with Mosaic and Columbus.
Vibrant Swedish fish nose. Gets seriously resiny and gooey in the middle - the kronik, superbud (as opposed to juicy) end of the NEIPA. Just a shame it dies a bit on the end.
