Poured from a 16oz can into a Belgian tulip glass.
Look is pitch black with dark cola highlights with a tan head.
Aroma is intense roast malt.
Taste matches aroma, lots of astringent malt.
Well balanced.

On draft, stemmed pint glass
Dark brown, not quite black. Khaki colored head. Aroma and flavor is more dark cocoa than roasty. We'll balanced, not too sweet. Thin to Medium bodied, could be thicker.

This was a very dark brown beer that had a thick creamy head. It had a very strong malty flavor with some of the other flavors associated with porter such as chocolate and coffee flavors

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black, with some brown tints, with a creamy looking white head, and a bit of lacing.
Smells like rich and robust roasted malt, a hint of chocolate, and roasty delicious coffee. There's a pretty big coffee aroma, and as far as I know, there's no coffee added.
I really tend to appreciate well done straight forward porters, and this is a great example of a somewhat dying breed. No added flavorings, just a nice use of malt. It's lightly smoky, with a really rich roasted malt flavor, some bitter chocolate, and heavily roasted coffee. It's a classic flavor profile, done exceedingly well.
This is medium bodied, very, very creamy, with a good level of carbonation.
This was absolutely nailed. I could drink a lot of it.
