From a growler. Pours hazy, gold in color, with 1/3 inch head. Taste is pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon rind with slight cracker. Slightly bitter, medium bodied with moderate carbonation. First experience with Barrier and I gotta say I like it. An IPA that stands up to my New England favorites. I will get this one again.

L - can art is on point! Money on my mind, money in my hand. Pours a delightfully hazy dark orange. Mellow and restrained.

S - blast of fresh cut, barely ripe pineapple. Like a luau. Candied orange and lemon. Fresh, almost minty in freshness.

T - grass and pine backed up by full flavors of just the right amount of lemon and rindy orange peel. Raw and earthy bitterness. Packs a serious punch and takes no prisoners. These sorts of flavors are usually sharp and biting with a hollow finish, but the flavor balance here is very well done. Great example of a bitter but drinkable IPA.

F - as alluded to prior, this is full-bodied and creamy. Like, really creamy. Actually shows resistance when I swish it between my teeth. Help, it's pushing back!

O - exciting label, exciting beer, but quite polished. Piney to the max, fresh and taught. Bites back!

A - Very hazy, cloudy, opaque, golden tan in color, thin white but very dense lacing ring.

S - Bright citrus, grapefruit, lemony, a little earthy, and with biscuity malt.

T - Grapefruit presence from start to finish, some yeastiness, spicy, and finishes with a sweet malty yeast and spicy grapefruit rind.

M - Big medium body.

O - Balanced and very nice.

Big IPA from Long Island's best IPA brewer. Fresh earthy hop resin aroma gives to a tart flavor and bitter bite in the finish. Maybe not the most session-able, but a solid beer.

Looks golden orange, hazy, some sediment. Very appealing.

Smells of orange marmalade, some malt, dank cedar or spruce, faint pineapple, other citrus and honeysuckle.

Tastes of citra hops and their dankness, orange juice, a slightly spicy pine and cedarwood on the finish, more faint tropical notes than the aroma, some flavor of honeysuckle and green grapes. Delicious.

Feel is good. Drying after enough sips. Medium-to full bodied but in a way that shows a well-balanced composition with the malt and hops in perfect harmony.

Apparently this must have been my first time really having it fresh; thought I had before but never enjoyed it so much. Fantastic fresh, pretty darn good with a couple months on it
