This is the one Tulsa-area store I had not yet visited, and one of the highest-rated. It is technically in the city of Jenks, but right across the Arkansas River from Tulsa and the Oral Roberts University area.

A nice little shop in a strip-mall across from the bridge; neat, clean, friendly employees. A smart selection of local Oklahoma beers. Probably the widest I’ve seen around Tulsa. Rare stuff from Prairie, Choc, Anthem… plus regional brews from Boulevard and Santa Fe. Rodenbach 2012 and rare Belgians, Mikkeller galore, Stillwater packs… good stuff, but not as good as Owasso Liquor.

I love to go here when I can make it down this far from Bartlesville. A really good selection for a smaller store. A store with great service and quality.

The premier bottle shop in Tulsa. Freddy and staff (does he have staff?) are knowledgeable craft beer enthusiasts, always willing to help someone find that quality craft beer. An additional plus, Freddy really takes the time to inform his consumers about the ins and outs of Oklahoma beer laws. Biergarten is here to help grow the craft beer scene in Tulsa--and Oklahoma. A key player in many beer events, such as the Tulsa Craft Beer Festival, BierGarten is well worth it.

Best place surrounding Tulsa. This place is a "craft beer" store that happens to sell everything. His focus is to fight for our horrible Oklahoma liquor laws. Knows everything there is to know about beer. I drive past 4 different liq stores just to buy from a fellow connoisseur.

Don't let the name fool you: Biergarten Wine & Spirits is knowledgeable with wine and spirits - but this is a craft beer store. The owner of the store is BJCP certified, and is currently working towards a Cicerone. The owner is also rarely not working in the store when I visit. The customer service and craft beer knowledge here is unmatched. The selection here is the best in the state, except that limited releases often sell out quickly, because the man knows how to sell great beer.

I was passing through Tulsa on business and stopped by BierGarten as result of BA reviews, and I'm extremely glad I did. Does BierGarten have the absolute cheapest prices in town? I don't know. Do they have the most knowledgeable staff and friendliest service? Absolutely. I stopped at several stores in the Tulsa area, and while most were comparable in price (within a dollar or two per bomber) BierGarten stood out for both their knowledge and enthusiasm for craft beer. Freddy is to be commended for his work, and if you're in the Tulsa area, definitely stop by.

A terrific little store in Jenks, America. I heard people raving about it for months before I finally got around to stopping by. Everyone is always helpful and informative there, especially Freddy. This guy really knows what he is talking about. He is extremely knowledgable on his beer, and does a great job of working with local breweries and distributers to keep an abundance of OK brews in stock. I gave them a 4.5 for selection based on what OK has to offer. For you out of staters, beware that OK doesn't have the greatest beer selection.

If you follow them on facebook, they will even hold their brews for you that just arrived to the store in high demand to ensure you have a chance to purchase them. Always has a nice selection of "pick 6" too which i really like. Keep up the good work guys!

This place is amazing. Their selection is the best in town and Freddy, the owner, has a great knowledge of craft beer. He is also neck deep in bringing more craft beer to Oklahoma and expanding Tulsa's craft beer scene.

Back to their selection. Every time I walk into this place more space has been allocated to craft beer, so if beer is your thing, this is your place.

What more do you want from a store? Friendly and knowledgable staff, great selection, and people who care about their business and industry.

The store itself is very nicely laid out, and the wines do not over power the beer selection. I'd say the wines make up one third of the store's sales. The beer is in the back, and along the walls, which is good to stave off any sunlight that sneaks into the store through their giant front window.

They sell typical stuff such as Great Divide, Sam Adams, and other bigger craft brewers, but I came in here for the Oklahoma brewed stuff. As soon as I entered, the clerk was very quick to ask me if I needed any help. Then he directed me to several of the locally brewed beer, and gave his spin on some of the offerings they had to offer.

There was plenty of brands and brewers to choose from, especially for a somewhat small store. It's about the closest decent beer store closest to Henryetta, the "Home of Troy Aikman", and shittiest town I've ever seen in the USA.

The Biergarten is my go-to liquor store for beer. Freddy has a great selection of beer, and is very knowledgeable. Very friendly, high quality products, and a superior selection. You will not be disappointed. Although a little pricey, I am happy to pay slightly more for the great selection and service I receive.

The selection of wine is decent, and Freddy carries liquor only because he has to. If it were up to him, he'd have a beer-only store! My one wish would be for Freddy to carry some really nice Scotch and single malt... At that point, I would just start giving him my paycheck!!

Thanks to beer advocate and local referrals from other liquor stores for steering me to the Bier Garten. You know its a great store when their competitors steer you there. Unbelievable service and selection. Freddy is knowledgeable and friendly. This will be a regular stop every time I'm in the Tulsa area. Was here three days and visited there twice. Yeah, I like good beer and they have it. They have a great selection of local beers and Belgians. Freddy is very knowledgeable about both. If you like high quality beer with a great staff this is a must.

After numerous recommendations I tried Biegarten. And I am so glad I did. Without a doubt, Freddy is the most passionate and knowledgeable owner in the Tulsa area. I've been all over Tulsa and this is my new home for all things Beer. After my second visit he knew me by name. He knows his customers, he knows his beer, and he cares deeply about both. What more can you ask for?

If your looking for Beer or answers about a kind of beer anywhere in Oklahoma, make the drive. This will be your new destination for quality beer. We are lucky to have Freddy here in Tulsa. Do not hesitate to try this store. You will not regret it.

Okay, what can I say about Freddie? Well, I have yet to see a liquor store owner here in OK that even comes close to the dedication to craft beer than him. His willingness to learn and stay ontop of what is going on here in OK is amazing. What he does not know he is more than willing to find out. And if he does not have it then more than likly it is not in OK. If by a slim chance it is, he will get it ASAP. If you are in the South Tulsa area and looking to get your hands on craft beer, this is the place to go. It is worth the dirve for me from Bville.

Of the 3 or 4 places in Tulsa craft beer lovers would consider worthy of dropping in on, BierGarten is clearly #1. The staff, led by owner Freddy, are far above all others in Tulsa - probably all of Oklahoma and Arkansas - the most knowledgeable and friendly beer people around. Freddy is hands-down Oklahoma's biggest beer advocate always looking for the newest and best beers to order and working to change some of the antiquated laws in Oklahoma.

The store is not big by any stretch but I challenge anyone to find a better selection - both in depth and breadth - anywhere in the region.

I want to rate all fives but fear I wouldn't be taken seriously. Honestly, BierGarten is worth the drive if you love beer (good beer and good variety) and live within 50 miles.

First... OKLAHOMA?!?!?! The desert of craft beer. Biergarten has somehow found every amazing beer that distributes TO Oklahoma or is brewing IN Oklahoma and stocks copious amounts of it. If the selection was not enough to get you to make the drive out there, the owner Freddy is full of beer knowledge. Not just his products, but upcoming products, and even products that do not distribute to Oklahoma. His love of beer shows through his knowledge and willingness to ensure you have the right beer for your palate. This place is awesome. It is better than any other craft beer store I have found in OKC or Tulsa. I live in Tampa, FL, but when I visit my family in OK, Biergarten is my first stop.

The owner Freddie, is very knowledgeable about beers and he is currently working on his BJCP. He has been on a monastery trip to Belgium with his co-owner to learn and experience beer styles of the region, and he is a definite beer geek. He's very friendly and loves to talk about beer styles with his customers. You really get the full customer experience in his store, it's fun to just go there and talk about recent releases. If you don't really know what you're looking for, or if you are wanting to branch out, Freddie will help you find your next step without belittling your former choice which may have been a subpar beer. He has a wide selection of beers and the best in the Tulsa area and probably this part of the state this side of OKC (dunno what OKC has to offer so he may just be the best in the ENTIRE state). The only reason for a 4.5 on selection is he is limited on space, but that will soon change when he gets more beer savvy clientele, and gets rid of all the wine and liquor to make more room for great brews!

Visited this store yesterday while on the road visiting family in the Tulsa area.

The store is small but it's very cozy. It seems rather new and is very well lit and organized.

The beers in the store were top notch. In fact I don't remember seeing any BMC beers, not that I spent any time looking.

I talked with the owner of the store for a solid 15 minutes about the different Oklahoman beers. He took time to show me the seasonal offerings and asked me which of his stock was also available in Missouri. This guy KNOWS his beer and was one of the most knowlegable people I've talked with on the subject. The best customer service I've had in a long time.

The beer selection is, as I can gather, as good as it gets for Oklahoma. There was many of the same things that I can find in Missouri, plus any Oklahoma brewery that I knew of.

My wife and I walked out of there $50 dollars lighter, but I felt like we paid a fair price for what we purchased.

Bring on the Oklahoma brews!

If you are passing through Tulsa and looking for a good bottle shop, go to BierGarten in Jenks. It's a one stop shop. It has plenty of wine and spirit options but beer is it's lifeblood.

Freddy runs the place and he eats, sleep, breaths, and drinks beer. He is very passionate about beer to say the least.

One of the best selections in town and you can ask about any beer in the store and Freddy will tell you all about it.

He has pretty much anything and everything you can get in the state, plus all the locals, Marshall, Choc, COOP, Redbud, Battered Boar, Mustang. You can check out his facebook to see the latest beers he's got in.

If it's in Oklahoma, Freddy has it. It's one of the true BA bottle shops in the area.

BierGarten has become my only destination for craft beer in Tulsa. I can't stand when I walk into a other liquor stores here in Tulsa, and ask for a new/seasonal beer, and get the "deer in the headlights" look from worker behind the counter. Freddy at BierGarten has never let me down when I have asked about a beer. He is very knowledgeable and works hard to get the newest and best beers that are available in Oklahoma into his store. If you are in Tulsa, and like beer (which I assume you are since you are reading this review), I would suggest giving this place a try. The place and selection are not huge by any means, but the freshness and variety more than make up for the smaller space. Also, if you like BiergGarten on Facebook, Freddy will constantly (almost daily) keep you updated on the newest beers that arrive at his store. Stop wasting your time at other so called "beer stores" in Tulsa and head to BierGarten for the BEST beer around!

I have been to Tulsa a few times but up until this trip I had excepted it to be BEER HELL. I thought all the beers were 3.2% in the state until i found this place. The store owner is a really cool guy and a beer geek that makes you feel extremely welcome, he even gave me a bottle of Saison Brett! The store is small but nice and all the beer is kept in the back away from the elements. Excepting that this store is still in Oklahoma they have a excellent slection. I had to give it a 4.5 since Oklahoma is limited by horse shit laws and what they can get is limited. That being said all my future trips to Tulsa/Jenks will involve the BierGarten.

BierGarten Wine & Spirits is located in a strip mall (near Tulsa's RiverWalk) just across the E. 96th Street River Bridge in Jenks America! The store may be small, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in organization. Upon entering, one can tell that beer is the priority and with the exception of a few new arrivals & seasonals that are upfront for easy access, most of the beer is kept in the back of the store away from harmful sunlight & temp. fluxs. The beer is neatly organized on an array of made-from-scratch shelving that's simply amazing and more importantly, it's safeguarded with loving care by co-owner & fellow beergeek, horder BA (Freddy Lamport a.k.a. BierGartenok). Although a relative newcomer to the fledgling Oklahoma beer scene, the BierGarten has thrown down the gauntlet to other Okie beer retailers with a pro-active buyer/seller approach, quality product/service & a refreshing beer savvy staff. The beer may be a lil' pricey ($$$), but so is the real estate around there! Personally, I really don't mind paying a bit extra for quality. Two enthusiastic thumbs waaay up!

The only store I buy beer at in the surrounding Tulsa area. Small store, but big things come in small packages as this place packs a ton of labels efficiently. Always carries the best stuff and not the general crap and fluff like most other stores that adorn their shelves. The best beers that are available and allowable in Oklahoma, this store carries.

The store is generally clean and well organized too. Prices are fairly reasonable. The store owners read about their product, stay up to date with their product, and drink their product. Generally friendly, informative, and always willing to talk beers with customers.

Best store in town, in my opinion

Best store in OK period. Notes below are old...

Quality of all brews purchased was good, nothing old & dusty on sale that I noticed.

Service was friendly & the staff liked talking beer

Selection was good, but apparently I hit them a little too soon as 7 more beers were hitting the shelf on Monday. They had small mixed sixer selection, a decent spread of American craft to include Boulevard smokestack series beers. The foreign selection wasn't bad either. The store is not huge but they have a fairly nice selection of quality brew versus some of weird/cheap stuff I see at my local or some of the bigger stores in T-Town. I wish my local had as good a selection, I will certainly hit these guys up, the next time I am in town

Prices were a bit high, but not as bad as my local..
