Poured from 22oz bottle into glass. Stamped 'BOTTLED ON 01/05/17'.
Slightly cloudy body, color is pale amber with an orange accent. Two finger white head settles but stays around as a thick cap. Webs and spots of lacing.
Citrus and orange aroma, with biscuit malts.
Taste is orange citrus with a balance from the bready malts. Slightly sweet mid sip, and slightly bitter at the end.
Medium mouth feel, with good carbonation. Has a dry aspect.
Easy to drink IPA, with an orange emphasis in the nose and the taste.

Pours pure amber with bright orange hues. Smells of persimmon, caramel and whimsical florals. Getting caramel, grain, tea leaves and subtle orange zest on the tongue. Light in body and crisp.

A quiet night in cowtown. CS can do better. It could be much worse.

But that's not the point.

A: Pours a bronze-ish orange color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a nice cap that leaves good lacing

S: Citrus and orange up front with a hint of earthiness and some caramel maltiness

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the orange and citrus hop notes and goes into a light earthy tone with some lightly sweet caramel maltiness. Finishes with lingering bitter orange notes

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Teetering on the heavier side

O: A solid and very drinkable IPA that definitely has a focus on the orange aspect. Try some

The hoppy citrus and the orange zest dominate the aromas and they work very well together. Medium low resin and biscuit aromas in the background provide some contrast and balance. It's a beautiful brilliant copper amber pour creating a 2" off-white foam cap with good retention and good lace. The beer enters the mouth rich, lightly sweet, citrusy and orange leading to a bitter, drying finish. The orange zest illuminates the hop citrus, bringing it out and dressing it up. There is just enough light bread crumb from the malt to make this an American IPA without interfering with the hops and orange zest. The beer drinks smooth and creamy with a medium body and carbonation. This is a nicely layered and balanced beer.

Aroma is orange/citrus, spices and a hint of biscuit malts. The flavor is orange/citrus, malts, grapefruit and a mix of hops/hop resin and spicy in the finish.
