Pours a hazy russet color with a half finger khaki colored head atop that left a broken ring of lace as it settled.Aroma are a lighter than expected, hints of coffee roast and caramel, again kinda light.I like the creamy smooth oatmeal-infused feel, really nice for the style.Caramel and milk chocolate flavors with a light roasted edge in the finish. It does taste like a caramel latte to me and the feel is fantastic, better than a whole lot of the coffee-infused beers out there right now.

Pours a dark dark brown, almost black with an off white head. Man this is good! Coffee, creamy, and sweet. An amazing beer, especially for the money. Clown shoes continues to impress with the level of quality and their affordable price point. Pick up this beer and any other of their beers in your area!

Bottled 1/18/16.
A dark brown color with a small tan head.
Aroma of coffee and milk.
First taste is all strong espresso, which fades to sweet milk. Almost like a latte.
Very smooth. Sweeter than I anticipated.

Poured a medium-dark brown with less than a fingers worth of head that disappeared instantly. The smell is coffee, caramel, and biscuits. Flavor is coffee with caramel and biscuits just like the nose. The feel is medium with medium carbonation. This is a good brown ale. The flavors inparted add good character.

L: brilliant brown with ruby highlights under a thin ivory cap with fair retention.

S: rich espresso lightly sweetened with brown sugar with some brown malts, grains and oatmeal in the background.

T: mildly sweet with espresso with light chocolate in the background. The added espresso is just a little bit bigger than the malt flavors but the oats and malts provide a nice balance. The hops provide just enough bitterness to balance the added milk sugars. The added milk sugars are just enough to make the coffee and chocolate flavors pop but not enough to be cloying.

F: exceptionally creamy, silky texture really puts this beer over the top and has you wanting another glass. The body is medium to medium full and the carbonation is at average levels but is very soft.

O: Drink this beer for its exceptional texture and the balance between the added espresso, the grains, the added milk sugar and the hops.

Pours a dark brown with lighter undertones in the light. Excellent mocha-colored head that sat up for an eternity! Nice lace as well. Smell is of fresh espresso beans, ground coffee, bitter chocolate, toasted bread crusts. Taste is bitter coffee and chocolate. Some sweetness in there as well. Feel is medium with good amount of carbonation. Finishes a little bitter. Not a bad addition to the "breakfast" beer rotation.

22oz bottle, more coffee beer, more coffee beer, oh joy to the buzzed (in the wrong sense for me) world!

This beer pours a murky, dark red brick brown colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly tan head, which leaves a few instances of emerging from the deep amorphous blob lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of semi-sweet, creamed espresso, bready and crackery caramel malt, bittersweet chocolate, oatmeal, a touch of dry black licorice, weak dark orchard fruit, subtle bar-top nuts, and faint earthy, leafy, and weedy hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, still edgy, but now lessened milky fresh coffee, over-sugared cocoa, earthy anise, some mixed-bowl nuttiness, leftover (i.e. cold) oatmeal, and more understated leafy, weedy, and ephemerally perfumed floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is nice and thorough in its robust frothiness, the body a solid medium-heavy weight, and mostly smooth, with a wee airy creaminess tussling with a nascent alcohol warming. It finishes well off-dry, the base malt not going anywhere, unlike the flitting coffee essence, and now ensconced cocoa, hops, and booze, in no particular order.

Yeah, this is a morass of breakfast diner, um, 'offerings', wherein the coffee wakes you up, and then fucks right off, before the nutty, variously grainy, and cocoa (be it cereal or Pop Tarts, in this strung-out metaphor) esters take the reins. Not a bad tipple, really, with the 17-proof sauce kept generally under wraps, but I just feel that the cohesion app has taken the day off here, or crashed, or something.

Pours a very dark brown, thick head, and very sticky lacing. Getting notes of burnt molasses/sugar, some coffee, toffee, little oak/smokey tones. Taste is very smooth and full of flavors, nice malty sweetness, can taste that molasses in there, some minor coffee in the background, some oat tones, little char feel. This is a medium beer, very easy to drink, zero bite. Excellent flavors and feel, would recommend.

Dark brown ale with modest had production and retention .

On the nose, coffee and cream, brown sugar, toasted malt and caramel. Not overpowering with any coffee scent.

Flavor is similar. There is a smooth brown sugary malt base, laced with cream and coffee. Like the nose, the coffee is smooth and not particularly strong.

Full bodied but smooth and crushable; the alcohol is present in both heat and taste, but barely.

Tasty and easy going for a big beer.

This is perhaps the lightest-colored brown ale I've ever encountered; in fact, it is nearly translucent. The nose follows the palate and both are more breakfast stout-like in character than that of a brown ale. Nonetheless, this is significantly lighter bodied than a breakfast stout and phenomenally delicious in its own right.
